Trying to Fit Yoga In for Tues March 25

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did my new CIA with Gay Gasper - All Cardio Step. Workout was 54" and I burned 436 caloires. It took me a while to get my HR up with this, but I did towards the middle to end of the workout. This was also a bit hard to follow with no breakdown of steps and moderately complex in nature. Gay usually does a better job with breakdown, etc. I had to do my own version of a step here and there, was one step behind her and on the wrong foot a lot...but I really worked the athletic combo towards the end and ended up with a somewhat decent workout. My face was beet red at the end.....so it must have been okay.

I'm wondering if I should do a recovery week coming up soon. I've been moderately sore from my weight workouts and it hasn't seemed to totally go away and I'm not sure if that's good or bad?? I suppose I could do a functional fitness week coming up soon.

Jen - when will you hear about your IVF and if it worked? I bet your anxious.....cuz I know I am!

Kel - glad that you are able to pick up the intensity a bit. Pretty soon, you'll be full speed ahead! I ordered Kickbox Yoga Fusion and just got it yesterday. I was surprised to see it is a kickbox workout, but it doesn't look very intense. This IS the one that you ordered a while ago and did and liked, right? Did it seem to get your HR up at all? I may save it for a recovery workout...but would love to hear what you have to say.

Yve - Hi- hang in there. When's the baby coming? April? I bet you can't wait. Is the hubby nervous or just excited? Has he read any parenting books?

Carrie - yooo hooo girlie!! Where the heck are you? Did you OD on chocolate bunnies or something??? LOL. Did you see Rock of Love over the weekend......SKANKS!! I'm sooooooooo glad Meaghan is gone. I don't know how anyone could date her. She was stupid and had the weirdest voice. What a freak! Their definitely will be a Season 3 at this rate!

Good morning everyone -

This morning, I did BC Cardio & Lower Body Premix & added on a bit of abs at the end too. I guess the total workout ended up being about 40 minutes long & I really enjoyed it, even though I usually hate LB work. Right now, I'm planning upper body only for tomorrow, cardio for Thursday, & yoga for Friday. My DH will be gone to a meeting this evening so I plan on doing some yoga tonight too. Gosh it feels good to be back at it again!

Lora - Your new CIA ounds like a good workout! Yes, I personally think you might be in need of a good rest week since you've been getting sore with all your new KB workouts. Maybe you could do all pilates & yoga for a week... & maybe some light cardio too? Just a thought as I know you really don't like to take rest weeks. Like I said before, I think I'll pass on those tapes, although I really do appreciate you offering them & I hope you will keep us in mind if you ever decide to get rid of any more. Hope your week at work is going well so far.

Jen - Glad you popped in last night & I hope you're having a good week too. Let me know if you start BBC again tonight. I'm thinking about starting it next week. I don't know if I want to start with BBC or 4DS so I'll just see what I feel like doing when the new week arrives...

Well, I better go. We're getting ready for an open house for our new corporate office this week. It's going to take place this Thursday & Friday so I guess I better get back to work for now. Hope everyone has a great day & I'll try to pop back in later if I get a chance.

Kel - did you see my question about that Kickbox Yoga Fusion workout with Patricia Moreno? That's the one you bought recently, right?

I need help! I just found out I'm getting put on permanent at my new job....but today was very upsetting cuz I'm not going to get a penny more than what the agency is paying me....which is close to minimun wage and I have 25 or so years in the medical field. I know the office manager figures she has me under her thumb cuz she knows I was working at Walgreen's when she hired me and jobs are few and far between in this depressed area and she knows I have to take it for the peanuts. It's just so degrading and all I want to do is hide in a freakin' closet eating all of my favorite foods and then just bringing in a truckload of cherry yogurt, chocolate and hot fudge sundae's and just eating ...eating and eating. I don't do well with emotional eating. I know I'm lucky to have A job and my health....but I'm still feeling very down about this. I've worked so hard my entire life and now on the verge of 50.....making minimum wage really sucks. The benefits suck at this job too........what SMALL amount they have ......RANT over. Needed to get that off my chest. thanks all! (ETA: they don't give raises either....just maybe a merit increase in a blue moon).
