Morning Ladies-

This morning I did Turbo Jam Kick Punch and Jam and repeated the Turbo blasts 3 times. Workout was 54" and I burned 515 calories. Got my HR up to 166 during the first blast! I did the blasts on the Rebounder.

I'm trying to get used to this early ...full-time work schedule.

Jen - sorry to hear that you got away from working out. I'm feeling like I need the structure of a rotation right now with this new job stuff going on....but I can't decide what to do. I'll give it some more thought.

First day of work was overwhelming and I froze all day (office is freezing). Not sure what I think yet other than the one girl that works there must be on "happy" pills. Marilyn (the doctor's wife and office manager) is training me. As I stated before....she is very militant and very much of a perfectionist. She scares me. I hope I do okay there......as there is LOTS to learn and the medical software is a different system than I've used at previous doctor's offices....so that's another challenge. Mostly, I started to learn how to post insurance payments, send patient bills and do electronic billing yesterday....but STARTED is the key word. I'm mosty feeling all discombobulated..........need to get used to everything and settle into a routine....since y'all know how much I depend on my routines.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone!

Yesterday was "Goodie Day" here at work so I was pretty busy most of the day. In case you can't guess, it's an annual event around the holidays where everyone brings yummy but also very bad-for-you food to snack on throughout the day. Of course, I ate way too much & still managed to eat supper too so thanks goodness I started yesterday off with LIC. Oh well, at least it only happens once a year & it's always stuff I never get to eat any other time. This morning, I did LowMax so I think that may have helped a bit... & I also plan to eat a LOT better today too!

Lora - Good workout this morning! It sounds like there's really a lot to learn with this new job but it also sound like you're jumping right in there too. So keep up the great work & please continue to keep us updated!

Jen - Sorry to hear you haven't been working out as much as you'd like. I think we all fall into ruts like that from time to time & I also think the holidays can interrupt our routines too. So I hope you get right back into it soon!

Yve - Hope you're doing well & hope you get a chance to visit today!

I'm off work this Thursday & Friday for a trip to Charleston, SC with my DH. It's really a business trip of sorts but he's only obligated for about 4 hours on Friday & about 7 hours on Saturday so I'm sure we'll be able to fit in some fun too. So I guess I should get back to work for now. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday & I'll try to pop back in later if I get a chance.

Take care everyone!

Hi ladies -

Day 2 of the job is history. The office manager was talking to me about previous job duties, pay rates, etc and hinted that they may decide to hire me sooner than a 3 month probationary period. I guess that she must be confident in me.

Today I learned how to prepare new patient packets for mailing and printed them out of the computer and posted personal check payments and started to learn how to restore EOB's (explanation of benefits) out of the archives, as well as checking into insurance claims that weren't paid. Marilyn asked me if I could teach her Excel............LOL! My favorite software program. I always jump right into my jobs....as I need to get all of the unpleasant stuff out of the way soon so I can be more relaxed. I met the other physician in the office and he is even nicer than the other one. Great doctors.

I just rec'd my Jill Miller - Yoga Tune Up Balls and CD for neck/shoulder pain. It's a set of hard rubber balls and CD that guides you thru placement. I'm not sure I'll have time to use them tonight, but my shoulders and neck are wishing I could make time.

Kel - I was glad to learn at work today that they don't get too much junk food there over the Holiday. That's nice you have an upcoming trip planned.
