Trying To Fit Yoga In for Tues Aug 21

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Spinning - Crank It Up with Joshua Taylor - interval workout. Workout was 63" long and I burned 443 calories. I still didn't push all out intensity as I'm still recovering from this flu, but had a decent workout. The standing climbs are particularly challenging for me and I worry about putting too much pressure on my metatarsal also.

I get my foot x-rayed tomorrow. I wonder how long before I'll be able to run and resume normal activities. I don't want to start too early and re-fracture it....so I guess I better listen to the doctor (well.....in my own twisted sort of way!!).

I have to call for a job interview in a little bit. There was a message on the recorder last night from a resume I sent in.

Jen - That sucks about your AC. I totally understand. You can complain all you want! Michael Carson does not appear in the Envy workouts, but he does the voice over instruction in the warmup and maybe another part, I'm not sure. It's his workout moves though. He simply hired these no name models (which appear in sort of skimpy outfits) to appear in them. I actually don't mind them....they are okay and I actually like the one girl's high top Chuck Taylor Converse's in the one workout (as I've been wanting a pair). The music wasn't particularly irritating or memorable. It was just like a beat in the background if I remember correctly....nothing that stood out as either good or bad. I REALLY loved the production value and the beach is beautiful. It's been cold and rainy here for days now and I love grabbing a beach workout when it's gloomy out (as it often is here).

Kel - did you make it back from Nascar??? How was it?

Hi ladies!

Goodness, I have been BUSY! That's why I haven't been around for a few days again. Yesterday, I did the cardio & upper body premix on HST & added the abs & stretch from SJP. This morning, I did the cardio & lower body premix from the same workout & added the abs from C&W. I also did the warm up both mornings. My upper body is pleasantly sore this morning & I'm hoping to get some mild DOMS in my lower body from my workout this morning. I'm also hoping to fit in some yoga tonight since my DH has a meeting & won't be home right away. Then, it's off to the races so I won't be able to work out until next Monday. Well, we'll be setting up camp & doing lots of walking so it's not like I won't be doing anything, just not my traditional workouts. I won't be around to post until next Monday either but I'll try to catch up quickly once I'm back online.

Lora - Oh my goodness, I'm SO sorry to hear you're battling the flu! I sure hope you feel better soon & I hope your foot check-up goes well tomorrow. I hope your interview(s) go well too!

Jen - I skimmed a couple of other day's threads & I'm glad to hear Lenny seems to be doing better. But I'm sorry to hear about your A/C is broken! Right when it's so hot too! I hope you get it fixed soon so you don't melt away.
