Trying To Fit Yoga In for Tues 2/27

Morning Yogini's -

his morning I did Turbo Jam Cardio Party 1 and added some intensity to it to make it more intense. Workout was 45 minutes and I burned 317 calories. This reading should be correct since my resting heartrate did come down this morning. I also did Rainbeau Mars Pure Tranquility restorative yoga (30"). Short workout today, as I have that job interview at Coca Cola this morning.

Kel & Jen - I prefer to be on the computer in the evening versus watching TV. The comment about spending time with the DH cracked me up. When you've been married as long as we have, you have separate rooms. He has the living room and I have the family room! He prefers it that way! All he does is watch TV and fall asleep on the couch anyway!

Jen - I posted comments about SWAT over at Hardcore. I usually repeat the cardio segments in the YBBs to make them longer. It works quite well. All you have to do is hit the back button and it should take you right to the beginning of the cardio. Then you can actually put your all into it since you already reveiewed the steps! I'm thinking of getting Soul Sweat. Someone said it's for sale on Overstock.com. Now that you have tried YBB, do you think I'll like Soul Sweat? Can you compare them at all?

Yve - I actually bought the size shoe I normally wear in a sneaker with the Saucony's. I think that person must be referring to street shoes or something.....cuz I usually wear a 9.5 in sneakers and the 9.5's fit me perfectly. If you get them, let me know how you like them. I love mine. Just wore them for Turbo Jam this morning. If you can afford it, I'd get the cross trainers and the running shoe to change up. Like I said before....the cross trainers are mid ankle so they have excellent ankle support and even though they lack the amount of cushioning under the front of the foot that the other one's have...they are still a very good shoe. They look really cool in the black with the plum trim also!

Meg - I hope you have time to do Rainbeau's Dawn soon. I look forward to hearing your comments re: the belly pumping and if it helps with stomach distress for you like it does for me.

Thanks for all of the well wishes re: the interview. I'm trying to be confident here .........although it's a challenge.

By the way, Unemployment investigated and ruled in my favor saying that I was fired unjustly. So, I thought everything was settled, and now I get a notice to stop my benefits cuz the information they got from the hospital states I called my supervisor and quit my job at the hospital for "family reasons".......but actually I was bumped from my position....so they obviously were looking at the wrong file when they filled the paper out.......so now my benefits are being "reviewed and investigated" to stop benefits. I tell ya!!!! It's always something, isn't it.

Have a lovely day everyone. I'll be around later.

Lora-I have been thinking about the comparison of YBB to Soul Sweat. Having done them both now, I do want to say that I think Soul Sweat is a little more intense-but not by very much and the choreography is a little harder to pick up despite the tutorial. I am just not sure it will be that way for you but that is definately my experience. Although I like the YBB music-Soul Sweat uses original artists' music and I think I like it a little more. Can't wait to hear what you think of it. I think Amazon will also have it in the next day or two. You might want to check out their site if you get free shipping it may offset being higher than Overstock's price unless they have a deal on shipping too.

Good morning to all who check-in later! I'll be back after tonight's WO!

Jen - Overstock has a couple Yoga Booty BAllet workouts for pretty cheap. Check it out. I ordered Soul Sweat. It was very inexpensive.

I'm getting ready to go do some sort of yoga. I'm depressed. I don't think the interview went too well. I'll elaborate tomorrow......as y'all know I'm more of a morning person.

I think I have a slight bladder infection and a sinus infection. Had to get antibiotics from the doctor today.

Good evening Yoginis.

Today's workout will be Yogtopia. I went downstairs and turned on the portable heater in my workout room - and will go down there shortly and do some vinyasa.

Lora - Tks again for the shoe help. I think I will get the cross trainer - as I have always worn high cut runners. My ankles tend to go over easy. I am tempted to get the running shoe too though!!! How frustrating that you keep getting mixed signals - and all these curve balls at you wrt your previous employer. Bladder infections are so terrible. You must be in such pain right now. I hope you feel better soon and that the anti-biotics kick in very very soon.

Jen - Tks for all the YBB reviews. I would be interested in trying the P90 later in the year. I suppose I should start learning to like weights????? :7 :7

Hi to Meg and Kel.

Yve

Hi ladies! No WO for me tonight. :( I got home late from a very stressful day and just lost my focus. Smelled an incredible Chinese food smell coming from somewhere as I was walking in the door to my house and asked DH if we could find out where it was coming from and just eat there tonight. It wasn't a complete disaster-I only ate half and the half I saved is going with DH for lunch tomorrow. But, I was determined that I would NOT be taking a rest day until March 1st and blew it and it is bothering me. In the whole scheme of things, it was a good month so I guess I should shut up. Nuff said.

Yve-Yep! :) Get ready for weights! :) I think Lora told me the difference between the two P90 programs. I think she said one is a stepping stone to the other-I think it's that Power 90 is the stepping stone to P90X. I can't remember where the P90 Masters fits in to all that. I think Meg said she is sold on the program just by looking at Charlotte's Picture Trail. You should go over to the Hardcore's thread and check it out. She looks really fantastic!

Lora-Sorry the interview did not go as well as you wanted it to. I do have to say that you are getting great experience with each interview you go to. I bet you did better than you think! How tough were the questions they asked? That's very cool about the Soul Sweat DVD...I really hope you like it. You definately got a better buy than I did AND you weren't tempted to add on Shiva Rea's music like I was! Did you get any other workouts? Thanks for the tip on YBB. I will check it out! So, do you think you will be posting pictures anytime soon? You've got to be in super-fantastic shape with the great variety and intensity of WOs that you do! I say show it off! :)

Have a great night! I am going to see what the Harcores are up to and then I am calling it a day!

Hi to Kel and Meg!
