Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Amy's CIA All Cardio Hi/Lo Knockout. Workout was 56" and I burned 517 calories. My back hurt a little after this cuz it was quite a bit of impact and most of Amy's hi/lo is not doable modifying on the Rebounder.

I had a bit of trouble following the coreography since it was my first time which is normal with Amy. I got a pretty decent, intense workout, but I'll probably be able to work a bit harder once I learn it. My face was still beet red.....which makes applying makeup after my shower difficult since I can't tell how much blush to put on! LOL.

One thing I like about Amy's recent offerings is that she doesn't skimp on the stretch at the end. The stretch was 7 minutes. My 48 year old body needs that! I thought this DVD was slightly more Hi/Lo than kickbox....but it's all good. I do look forward to her In The Ring DVD though.

Oh........and to top all of this job crap off.....my 21 year old niece with zero college education and no secretarial experience landed a job working as a receptionist/secretary for an advertising company of some sort as a Temp to Hire. She will make $10/Hr when she is hired permanently and it's a cake job. She's online during the day and allowed to listen to music, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for her..........but how is THIS fair?? My job is super busy, hard, no radio, no internet and less pay! Such is life I guess!

When I talked to the office manager yesterday about pay and taking the job, etc. - she stated they are a small practice that can't compete with bigger practices that make tons of money (i.e plastic surgeons, dermatologists) and they could never afford to pay me that much. I would be somewhat okay with that if the job had benefits....but the benefits suck too. I can't understand why someone would stay with a company for 10-20 years to make peanuts with minimal pay?? but ...I guess...at least they don't keep getting downsized out of jobs (like yours truly). My DH says they are okay with it cuz of the way they behave at work and no other job would want them. Even though they are Byatches......they do work very hard. I'm just having a hard time understanding the level of dedication with the level of pay.....doesn't balance out in my Libra brain. Okay, I'll shut up now....cuz I AM grateful I'm working full time .....just venting.

Yve - hi.....how are you feeling? What's the weather like up there in Candada? It's supposed to snow here tomorrow. Where's Spring?

Have a great day everyone.

Carrie - SERIOUSLY girl.......did you OD on Chocolate Bunnies??? Where are you?

Kel - I don't like the work better than what I did at Walgreen's. I didn't like being on my feet at Walgreen's but I loved the actual work .....cuz it was different and stress free. I did NOT like the hours at Walgreen's.....but I much prefer the day-turn shift and being off of my feet.....but that's about it. Did that make any sense or did I just contradict the heck out of that answer?? LOL.

Jen - My DH agrees that I'm in no position NOT to take the job, as WE defenitiely CANNOT afford to be without my paycheck again. I even told my manager when we were talking yesterday........when I commented on minimum wage being 7 something an hour and the fact that my niece with zero experience was making $10 an hour and my manager said "your welcome to go back to the agency to find another job and you don't have to take this job".....and I sort of gave her a look like you know that's crap.........I said something like....you KNOW I'm in no position to do that and need a job. After all, she knew I was looking for a year when she hired me and I was working at Walgreen's....so don't play stupid with me!! UGH! She KNOWS she has me right where she wants me.

okay...........now that I've written a freakin' book.....off to get ready for my lovely DAY IN PARADISE!!! LOL!

Hi everyone -

This morning, I did the Upper Body Only Premix from Supersets & loved it! I increased the weight on a few exercises & I also added the ab segments on at the end. My arms were shaking by the time I finished & I'm already looking forward to yoga tomorrow & starting back on BBC or 4DS next week. Still not sure which one yet... I'm just going to wait & see which one I feel like doing when Monday arrives.

Lora - First, I keep forgetting to answer your question about that workout... sorry! The one I got was Gaiam Cardio Balance Ball Workout with Tanja Djelevic so I think it's different than the one you got. It's not super intense but it's a really nice workout for a lighter day... & I actually got a bit sore from it too, probably because the exercises are different. I've read that the 30 minute workout is more intense but I haven't tried that one yet. Did you buy all those new CIA workouts? Your reviews sound pretty good but I think I'll just wait for STS, although I am interested in a few new ones I've seen on Collage recently... including Ellen Barrett's Yogini Workout, Kelly Coffey's 30 Minutes to Fitness, & Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred (don't you have that one?). Oh yeah... I also have Gaiam Patricia Moreno's Yoga Dance Fusion & I like it too. I'm sorry I asked for a comparison of your new job & Walgreens now. I just figured you might like this one better since it's in your field. I just feel very bad for you & I really hope something better comes along soon. But for now, just hang in there... tomorrow's Friday!

Jen - It was nice to see you post more last night. The story about walking/jogging with your Basset Hounds was so cute & I'm so glad to hear that Lenny is still in the clear too! Glad you made it through BBC Legs yesterday. That's a tough one! And although I normally dislike working legs, I actually like that one for some strange reason. Like I said above, I'm not sure if I'll start BBC or 4DS next week but what I was doing before I had to stop exercising for awhile is alternating 4DS & BBC each week. I was getting some really good results with that so I think that's what I'll do again. Also, when I do BBC, I go as heavy as I can with my weights & drop down as necessary so they end up still being more heavy weight, strength-focused workouts that way & seem to blend very well with 4DS. So you go for your test on April 2nd? That's less than a week away & it will be here before you know it. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Yve - I hope you're feeling well & I'm looking forward to hearing some exciting news from you soon too!

Carrie - Chocolate bunny overdose? LOL!

Well, I better go for now. This is day one of open house for our new corporate office & I don't know when the visitors will start arriving so I guess I better look busy. I hope everyone has a great day & I'll try to pop back in later if possible.

Take care!
