Trying to Fit Yoga in for Thurs 8-23

Morning Ladies - (or should I say Jen)

This morning I did Spinervals Lean and Mean interval workout. Workout was 60" long and I burned 400 calories. I also did Perfect in 10 Yoga - Relax and Let Go segment 10".

I don't know what I should do about a rotation due to my foot. I was planning on starting back on my Jillian book circuit next week...but they have cardio moves in the them. Afterburn doesn't have cardio moves in the weighted circuits......but I don't like leaving my Jillian circuits left unfinished. Ugh....what's a girl to do? I also don't really want to start Afterburn only being able to use one piece of cardio equipment, as the program suggests for each HIIT session, you use a different piece of cardio equipment.

I've got to eat breakfast and get ready to go to the grocery store.

I wonder if Yve will ever come back? I'm sure she's married by now.....so maybe she's busy decorating??

Jen - so glad to hear your AC is fixed! I don't think I could work out in the humidity without it.

I forgot to mention yesterday that we got a bid on our house and my DH already went to an Auction and bought a new one. He got in for $1000 over opening bid. The Plaintiff (who represented the bank and was the person bidding against him) came up to him after the Auction and had him fill out paperwork for the Deed and told him he got a real steal! The house is a split level in a subburb that's on the other side of town - about 20 minutes from here...but it's close to where my DH works. We went and checked it out again and looked thru the windows. It's really trashed on the inside and it looks like it's going to need quite a bit of work......new carpet and everything. Also, someone has broken the back window and is stealing the fence. We have checked online in the court documents to try to get some background on the house, people, etc. Not sure how long we actually have to wait to get inside.....the full 90 days?? or maybe we can get in before we actually get the receipt of sale and Deed since it appears to be empty....but we're not positive. I'm a bit nervous about all of the money we have tied up right now....but hopefully things will work out and I'll get a job soon.

Speaking of jobs, I sent a follow-up, thank you letter to the Office Manger at the Dermatology practice where I interviewed the other day and included a copy of my references for her. I hope I hear something today or tomorrow.

I'm glad you ended up ordering Cathe's new series. I think it sounds good. I hope she chooses better music than her last set.

I like the interval cardio segment on those new Shape DVDs. I've done it a few times and it's good. The music is half decent on them also. The only complaint I have is that they are a bit on the short side (30" for each workout), so you have to combine them or use as an add on.

Hi ladies! No WO for me last night. Got home late again and had to pick up dinner, too. It is WONDERFUL to have the AC back! It has taken awhile to get the temp back down to something more reasonable since it had so much catching up to do. Lenny went for his 2nd round of chemo yesterday. It really zapped his energy. He is still eating well though. I should have a Bar Method workout in the mail today, can't wait to try it out.

Lora-Wow, that was a nice touch on the thank you note! That is good news about the bid on your flip house! I can't believe your DH is ready to start another one. You guys are brave. I would be scared to walk up to the house if someone was still "living" there. So what are your ideas for this one? Does it have any charming features? Did you say how everything went at the doctor? Sorry if I missed that....I will go back and read your prior posts again. I have not tried any of Tracey Staehle's workouts, but I have previewed them on Fitness Organica and they look pretty good. I will check out that website. Did you preorder hers yesterday?

Just back real quick to report my WO. I did Bar Method Designer sculpting followed by Turbo Jam 20 min workout. At first I didn't like the Bar Method..the arms were a piece of cake, but the DVD really creeps up on you quickly if you have lower body issues. The leg work was really hard. I liked the workout, but I am not sure I would be motivated to do it the recommended three times per week. I'll give it a few more tries and see what the results are.
