Trying to Fit Yoga in for Sunday July 22

his morning I did Cycle - All Terrain with Brook Hayward. (got this DVD free with my CIA order this year). OMG......what's that saying "what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger". The hills on this were killer. My HR hovered around 80-90% for most of the workout. My body isn't used to cycling. Workout was 65 minutes and I burned 470 calories. Cuz it was a CIA workout...the music was good. I then did Power Squeeze for lower body/abs (wow..felt that too) and finished off with Yoga on Demand - 25 minute set and then did Ravi & Ana's Dr. House Call (new DVD) - Flexible and Free segment and Back Pain segments 25".

I'm so mad cuz I'm trying to view a rotation on T-Nation by Cosgrove called Fight Fat Real Fast and you need the current version of Macromedia Flash but when I try to download MM Flash, I get error pages on my screen. My computer has been messed up, so I usually go in thru Internet Explorer to do stuff I can't do the other way, but now THAT's NOT working either! I'll have to try to get it to work later....as I really want to view that rotation. Errrr...........

The new Ravi & Ana's look good. I only tried a few segments and looked at the set up. There are a lot of short yoga sessions on both DVDs...ranging from 3-45 minutes. Tons of options. They look real good. The music is new and slightly different. Looks good so far. I liked what I've done so far. I did a Sciatia relief one the other evening also that was good. I'll play with them a bit more this week.

I need to figure out what rotation I'm going to start tomorrow!

Jen - have you ever checked out the www.T-Nation.com site? I think you would like it since you like weightlifting so much. You would probably also be interested in reading Cosgrove's book The New Rules of Lifting (NROL). Have you read it yet? I got it but haven't read it yet. He's supposed to be very intelligent about all of this fitness stuff. I think I didn't get called back for a second interview for that Phone Company job cuz she told me their was overtime involved and I asked a lot of questions like ...how much? etc. cuz I dont' want to work tons of overtime .....so she probably scratched me off the list....oh well....guess it wasn't the right job for me. I have an interview Tuesday at a National Fire Repair company down in a bad section of town....or what I refer to as "The Hood". We'll see how this one goes! Time is running out.

Talk to you later.........have a great Sunday.

Hi ladies! No workout for me yesterday since I was too busy reading Harry Potter. Got finished with it this morning and I am sad that it is over now! I really enjoyed the book though and I am glad the spoilers I read were dead wrong. I will be working out this evening doing S&H Biceps and Triceps. Gotta get back in the swing of things after not working out for 2 days!

Lora-I have looked at t-nation and it seems like there is some pretty good stuff on there. I did find the site a little less user friendly than I would like, so I don't go to it as much as I probably should. I don't have the NROL, but have looked at it at the bookstore. The Fire Repair company sounds interesting. What type of job would that be?

Gotta go..my workout room is calling. I think I am in store for another tough, tough week (and it's my friend's last week) ;( ;( so I want to make sure I do everything else right in the other aspects of my life-eating right, exercise, plenty of sleep, etc so I don't end up getting sick or something from all the stress.

Have a great night!

Jen
