Trying to Fit Yoga in for Sunday July 15

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did my Jillian Backside Circuit from the book. Added ankle weights and DB's to the bicycle's and added weight to the Russian Twists. My foot that's been bothering me started hurting really bad during the first jump rope segment and I had to back off at that point. I added on about 10 minutes of the Killer Segment of KungFu Kickbox.....but again, my foot wasn't having it. I'm bummed about my foot. It's hurting where it was broken before.....not sure what the problem is. It didn't hurt there when I got my feet injected last week. Workout was not real intense today and was 1 hour and 20" and I burned 430 calories. I also did Eion Finn's Pure and Simple Yoga.

Forgot to mention that we saw a wild movie yesterday called Captivity. If you thought Saw was grotesque, you won't want to see this one....but it was pretty good. Had a good plot twist, etc.

Jen - how was your family outing? I hope everything went okay. How was your weigh in?

Hi ladies! Did not work out yesterday. My aunt's garbage disposal went on the fritz so my uncle (not the one giving me anxiety) and my DH spent awhile installing a new one. We didn't get home until after 10. My other uncle (anxiety one) never showed up. Well....that's just like him. x( I am still completely obsessing about my job and the events on Friday-I barely thought about my uncle yesterday. It is still rainy here and it is supposed to be that way all week. Guess I will be taking my cardio indoors.

Lora-Gosh, I am so sorry about your foot. I remember you were saying that you had some rainy weather too-do you think it's just a new twinge that will show up with the weather? My areas where I have had broken bones before tend to hurt when it rains....it's funny too, different areas at different times....and some remind me I had an injury there, when I had almost forgotten! LOL! Also, do you have mild arthritis? Just wondering if you have it somewhere else and it is showing up somewhere new now. I hope that is not the case! As always, good for you for getting your workout in anyway! Thanks for asking about my weigh in...unfortunately I am up a pound, and I even did more cardio this week. Still trying to find the magic combination....

Gotta go-it's my grocery store run this morning! Talk more later!

Jen - Yes, I meant to mention something about your job. So sorry that is happening and creating more stress for you. I hope it all works out okay and you don't end up with additional job duties.

RE: my foot. I don't think it's just arthritis or an old fracture. I do get some aching in my previous fracture sites (throughout my body) and I know I have some arthritis throughout and I also get some pain in various spots from that, but this is different pain. It's either because my foot is adjusting to not having the inflamed plantar fascia and this is a normal pain (will have to call the doctor and ask??) or I did something else to my foot. I had my shoes laced sort of loose cuz they were new and my feet have been a bit swollen from the inflammation in them and I'm hoping I didn't get another stress fracture. I had my shoes laced too loosely the day I got my last stress fracture! Although, this pain is not quite as bad as that time, just mild compared to that, so I'm hoping (and thinking) it might just be my foot adjusting to the release of the plantar fascia inflammation. I don't know.....I'm trying to be logical....but sometimes logic and medicine don't mix. I've expressed logical solutions to my doctor's before and they say "it doesn't work that way". I'm so freakin' analytical and my mind is always going!

Jen - so sorry.....it was way too long to hold my interest...and I fell asleep. Like I said, I'm not a big fan. The DH said it was okay, but it was way too long....2 hours and 20 minutes. I get antsy.

Since I took it easy the last 2 circuit workouts, I'm not feeling that beat up any more. I think I might only do 2 Functional Fitness workouts and then go back to circuits........got to figure it out on paper.
 
Hi ladies! Tonight's WO was S & H Legs and Shoulders. Can I say for the 100th time how much I love working slow and heavy!!!!?!!! It gives me just the jolt I need to get back to exercise after the 2 days off I just had. I felt really good and strong during the workout-I have definitely gotten stronger since the last time I did that series. I am not in a rotation right now, but I really enjoyed the workout today, so I think I'll stay with S & H this week with cardio on the other days.

Lora-OOOOHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO about the Harry Potter! LOL! So, just for frame of reference, have you seen the other movies? Did you not really enjoy them either? I think the functional fitness is a good idea. I have never done a rotation for functional fitness, so it will be interesting to see what workouts you put together for that.
