Trying to Fit Yoga in For Sunday Aug 12

Morning -

This morning I did Spinervals Enter the Red Zone. Workout was 65" and I burned 476 calories. This was a toughie. I can't seem to get my HR to 95 or 100% like your supposed to though. I guess I'll have to practice. The highest I got mine was 91-92% of max. My legs are fried. I also did Lotte Berk Blast from Essentials 10" and Yoga on Zuma Beach with Nancy Sutton 30".

Jen - how's your dog doing today? I'm so sorry you're going thru that with your dog. That is so hard. My heart goes out to you.

I probably should mention these yoga DVDs to you in case you're interested. I read about them on VF and bought them for $7.50 each. You basically just pay shipping for them and after you try it, you can give a donation if you want to (which I didn't.....but I talked to Nancy about it -- the instructor).

The Series is called Yoga to Go and they are done at various places in California and have no music....just the sounds of nature. One is 30" and done at Zuma Beach with the ocean sound and one is done at the Yuba River in California (quite nice) and is around 50" and the other one is around 55" and done at a Lake (can't remember the name). They are Hatha yoga and not particularly strenuous. I like them cuz of the scenery. I also conversed with Nancy via Email and she seems like a good person. The URL is www.nshouseofyoga.com if you want to check them out.

Hi Lora-Lenny is doing about the same today, thanks for asking. He still has a bit of spark, but also seems to spend quite a bit of time staring off into space, like stopping in the middle of the room as if he was going somewhere and then forgot where he was going. He is sitting on the floor behind my chair keeping me company. He likes to when I am at the computer-we have a tile floor in that area that feels nice and cool to him in the 100 degree weather we seem to be getting a lot of lately. Still no workout for me. I have spent the day getting my desk organized. I don't throw anything away until I have had the chance to spend time assessing it-is it file worthy, shread worthy, etc. Well, I am about 2 years behind, so I thought I would try to get some of it done while DH and I watched Ghost Rider. I thought that movie was pretty good. Between last night and this morning, I have cleared out a great deal of my papers and feel so much lighter! :) It always makes me wonder why I wait so long to do this stuff. Probably since I am "a little" busy during the week, no? :)

I checked out that yoga website. Looks like it is nice and peaceful. I still have a couple of Ravi and Ana's that I haven't done yet, plus the Xflowsions.

I was checking out the Road Trip pictures and they are amazing! Everyone looks like they had a great time! I feel like I am still too shy for that sort of thing, but I did like getting together with the Atlanta ladies. There is one picure where Cathe is holding up the Atlanta shirt that Jodi made and she is surrounded by some of the Atlanta ladies! How cool is that?!? :) :) :)

Hope you have a great Sunday! Any job prospects in the paper? Happy Hunting!

Jen

Hi ladies!

I guess you might be surprised to see me today. Well, you're probably surprised to see me period since I've been absent for over a week, even though I've tried to keep up with things as time permits. I apologize for that but I've just been really busy with that project that was almost taken away from me. I hope to have more free time soon. My DH is gone so I was able to take over the computer for a bit. I've been keeping up with my workouts & I've also been able to get back to normal since all my injuries seem to be healed. Something else I've done is make every Friday a yoga/pilates/stretch day & my body really seems to be responding well to that too. Now I really need to get some new yoga DVDs & I plan to do that soon. I also did CC#2, followed by a nice yoga routine yesterday. I try to fit in exercise whenever I can but I usually don't have any time at all over the weekends so it's always a treat when I do.

Lora - Sounds like you had a GREAT time in Vegas! I hope your foot is feeling better but it sounds like you've been fitting in some great workouts anyway. Great job, as always! Good luck job hunting. I hope something comes along soon.

Jen - First, I want to say how nice it was to see you in the Atlanta GTG pictures! Next, I am SO sorry to hear about your doggie, Lenny.:-( ;( I don't know what else to say except that I'm thinking about you & we're here if you need to talk.

Well, I need to go for now & I probably won't be back until tomorrow... if I can even make it then (I'm supposed to be out at the jobsite all day but I'll try to pop in early & maybe later in the afternoon if I can). I'm heading out to brush the pool & dive in! Hope you ladies have a great Sunday afternoon & I hope to talk more next week. Take care!
