Morning Ladies-
This morning I did a recovery day workout. I did Turbo Jam Total Body Blast with the ball and skipped a few segments to make it shorter. Totaled 54" and burned 300 calories. This really is a lower intensity TJ workout. My HR only elevated to about 75% of my max. After reading that article yesterday, not really sure if I just wasted my time. I also did Yoga for Beauty with Rainbeau Mars...Dawn. Felt good.
Dawn felt so good. I always like to do this one when I'm having stomach problems or when I've taken too much Tylenol.....as it's very purifying and detoxifying. I needed to do that for both reasons today and it has seemed to help the stomach issues. I still want to try to fit in my Iyengar practice later for lower back pain (back is flaring a bit), although not sure I'll have time with everything on the agenda for today.
Jen - I just got done previewing Elite Forces. I popped it in after my workout. Looks fun....think I'll do it tomorrow with some Gliding added on. It's combat like, kicboxing with plyos, jumping jacks, jump ropes and squats (Gilad loves to squat, doesn't he?). The music is ABSOLUTELY horrid in this. Where the heck did he even find it? Oh my Lord!! I'll have to listen to some Buckcherry or something!! Yikes. I'm not sold on Soul Sweat yet........need to hear more when you get the moves down better...as someone over at VF said it was pretty intense....but everyone's different with intensity.
Cory's are only available on VHS....so I think I might take a chance and try a couple of the Joyce Vedral's....not sure how old they are, but at least they're on DVD.
Meg - Good going on the workout last night. I bet you felt good. Yuk...there's a Wolfmother song on. Can't stand that band......and I can't believe they beat Buckcherry out for the Grammy!! They suck!! BC deserved the Grammy....but then ..what do those stuff Grammy peeps know??
Yve - Haven't heard from the hospital yet. They said they would call me either way ...on Friday...but Friday has come and gone and I know there's a Temp doing the job....so, they're not in a big hurry....so, we'll see. I also have another job interview on Monday with a large Cardiology Practice on the other side of town....although it says "some transcription" and not really sure I'm into doing transcription again....but I'll do whatever I have to do while I look for the "right" job. Anything's better than Unemployment, right?
Well, I better go.....got lots to get done. I'll be back later.
Have a blessed day............Namaste! Wouldn't the world be a much better place if more people practiced yoga?? Yoga people seem to be so much kinder, gentler and compassionate.............maybe that's why I love yoga so much.
