Morning Ladies -
This morning I did Barry's Bootcamp Legs & Butt followed by Mindy's All About Legs with Gliding Discs and Barry's Bootcamp Abs from Arms & Abs. Then I went down on the treadmill for 15 minutes and power walked and then did Cathe's Stretch from Legs & Glutes. I finished with Sun/Moon Segment from Namaste Yoga. Total workout was 2 hours and 10 minutes. I burned 414 calories at the end of the stretch after the leg workout and walking part.
I also did some Kundalini Yoga last night....Ravi & Ana's Fat Free Yoga Cleanse - Warm Up and Tear Out the Toxins. This was a very strange yoga session. Lots of breathing thru a curled tongue and arm movements, twisting movements. I was feeling different sensations. This is one Ravi & Ana suggested for my sinus problems as they said sinus and liver are related in yoga and this DVD detoxes your liver.
My legs, butt and hips got pretty sore from that Gliding I did yesterday, so I'll definitely be adding that into my rotation more often. I never realized what a great leg workout that is.
My DH is off today. I'm going to try to get a doctor's appt and if I can't - we might go to the cheap theatre. I have lots of stuff to do today though. Must go thru my perfume collection to see what I'm willing to sell for some extra income in the near future.
Tammy - I'm really not "that" knowledgeable....it's just stuff I learn from the instructors saying that sticks in my head. I always get a sanskrit name from my yoga session stuck in my head and thus it becomes the word of the day, as I walk around saying it all day....LOL. Yesterday's word was Basestashin (however the heck you spell it??). I'm a freak....I know.
Jen - One thing you'll learn about me is that when things get particulary tough in my life -- I tend to work out like a maniac and throw myself into my workouts. It's my escape from the harsh world. I'll probably be adding in a 2nd aerobic session during the week while I'm not working either....but I'll probably do some of my easier, older stuff that never gets used and I'll probably also add in some Pilates while I'm not working. Last time I was unemployed and trying to find work (for 5 months), I lost about 6 pounds doing double aerobics.
For those of you that have done Eion's PY4H....have you seen the part with his little dog sitting on his little doggie yoga mat up on his hind legs like he's trying to do yoga with them?? It cracks me up every time. I also crack up on this one part where he's running around in wild circles on the beach as they do yoga!! That's quite the life.
I went on a small buying binge last night at CD Universe. I ordered the 2 new Shape Boutique Bootcamp workouts, Yoga for Surfers 1, Total Yoga Original, Total Yoga Fire and Total Yoga Earth. I also got Yoga on Demand (newer one - can't remember who's in it). That was my "pity" buy.
Have a great day and I'll be back later.
