Trying to Fit Yoga in for Friday July 20

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Brain Muscle Vol 4 followed by The Upper Eastside Workout ...both with Michael Gonzalez-Wallace. I used ankle weights for all of the leg work (they didn't - and I'm not sure I'll be walking tomorrow). I did the workout with my boot on but it's low impact and the Upper East Side workout is mostly done on the floor. Workout was 75" and I burned 300 calories.

Whoa....those Brain Muscles have a zillion curtsy lunges in them and I'm feeling the accumulative effect from all of those this week!

I also played around trying various aerobic activities with and without my boot on (I'm hard headed). I wanted to do a bit of aerobics and if I wasn't going away in 2 weeks, I'd be doing rebounding and a few other things I feel are safe enough.....cuz after all, I used my rebounder with my bad stress fracture last time and didn't make it any worse....but I'm going to wait a few days before I rebound. I bought a couple new spinning DVDs instead. Hope they get here quickly.

Oh and the bummer is that these cortisone injections didn't even help my plantar fasciitis. It's coming back on the one foot already!

Jen - yes, I'm a very determined (and hard headed) person. Like I said above.........if I didn't have to worry about walking in Vegas in a couple weeks, I'd be doing rebounding, elipitical and some other lower impact stuff that I think is okay. Believe it or not, some yoga moves actually make it feel worse than walking on it. Since it's the metatarsal closer to the little toe (second from last), if I put more pressure on the ball of my foot when I walk, I don't feel the stress in my metatarsal as much...however, I realize that just the pressure of body weight on my foot can make the fracture worse....so that's why I'm refraining for now....but in a couple days, I'll probably rebound (maybe with the boot...LOL). I just can't see not doing aerobics for 2 weeks and then going to Vegas.....as I ALWAYS gain a few pounds on vacation.......even though I don't eat badly.....but just eat too much.

I'm glad you liked that workout Fight Cellulite. I really like it a lot also. It's decent!

So I bought a Spinervals -Lean & Mean DVD, one from Johnny G -- can't remember name and a Cy-Yo workout which has 10 minutes of yoga followed by 40 minutes of spinning and then 10 more minutes of yoga. It's supposed to have good music by local Boston bands and the girls at VF seem to like it.....so we shall see. I really am not that good on my bike....as it's hard for me....which means I really should do it. It's also very hard to get my HR up on it doing Cardio Coach...but I hear these spinning ones make you stand up and pedal and that usually makes it climb.

Hi ladies! No workout for me tonight and DH & I are going out to eat! I did have my usual weigh in at work and I lost 2 pounds. I have dropped to my lowest weight of 160.5! Most of it was lean muscle mass again, but I am okay with that. Work was really good today. I enjoy interviewing a lot and I learned a lot about our staff members. It gave me very positive feelings about the workplace we have.

Lora-Be careful with that rebounding wearing your boot. I can't even imagine what that looks like! LOL! That is too bad about those injections not helping the plantar fascitis. Ugh! That is a lot to go through for it not to work. x( Have you tried any of the other new Prevention workouts that you have yet-like the slim and lean one with the resistance band?
