Morning Part Time Yogi's -
This morning I did TLT Better Burn, Better Buns and repeated the ab part a second time followed by Legs & Glutes from the standing leg extensions thru the end. This took me about 1 hour and 40 minutes and I burned abour 440 calories.
I also did Full Moon yoga which was a restorative practice that is meant to be done during your moon cycle (TTOTM - for those who don't know the yogi's call it that). It's kind of hoky in that you embrace your inner moon goddess and do this little ceremony type of thing in the beginning (that I skipped), but then after some brief spinal warmups and a few warriors and cresent lunges, you start working on opening the chakras. You do one pose for each chakra and she tells you to picture the colour associated with the chakra radiating in the center you're working on and then you usually chant a sound for this chakra. It was slightly kundalini like in that a few of the poses were from Kundalini and the chanting and chakra stuff was Kundalini like.
This practice was very soothing and gentle and I probably will only use this when I'm feeling like I am today or if I wanted something soothing after a rough day. This felt good on the low back and upper back....areas that collect stress and tension during TTOTM and are very tight and painful on me (especially low back). She also said a few things I guess I needed to hear ....like access the inner mountain that you have inside of you and when you're in warrior she said to embrace the warrior inside yourself and access that strength that you have..........I need all of my strength right now to get thru what I'm going thru. I tried repeating some of these phases to myself throughout the practice to try and clear that negative energy created by the DH (and it does stand for DUMB) this morning!
I didn't have a very good workout cuz my DH picked a fight with me 30 minutes into BBBB and I'm feeling very mental today (TTOTM) so I let loose on him and yelled and him (like he usually does to me) and swore at him and told him off. He was trying to tell me things that need to be done around the house. He always gets so mad if I mention something needs done around the house and I've been very busy all week with job interviews, typing tests, cat appts, dog problems.......so I haven't really even had time to myself except for my long workouts I'm doing. So I let him have it and let loose on him. I hate when I get like that but I lost it. I had the mop handle (dowel for my workout) in the living room and I actually thought about picking it up and wacking him over the head several times! I GUESS I am mental today. Yikes!! My pain is flaring and my hormones are raging....goodness.
