Hiya Cathe and other members! This forum has been extremely helpful for information and motivation for me. I'm 22 this july and trying to rework my body into a strong, lean one. I am 5'2" and 110 pounds... I really want to lose some body fat and replace it with muscle.
Cathe, I "met" you on fittv and you are great!!! I have been working with lighter weights on and off for a few years, along with running and spinning, and you kicked my you know what!! I loved it! And I'm officially hooked.
So My questions are many, I'll try to narrow them down:

How many calories should I intake while doing this weekly workout( this is what i'm doing this week):
mon- muscle endurance
tues- run 30 min
wed- supersets
thurs- cardio tape or spinning- about 40 min
fri- biceps and triceps
sat- some type of cardio
sun- rest
I find it hard to cut down on breads, etc ( I usually go for whole wheat tho) and eat more protein... some days I just can't get down 4 ounces of fish...

I also do not want to over train.

I am so looking foward to being healthy and strong! I am ready for this change and I know you can help me get there :)

Thanks so much for you help!

Hi Tina! Welcome to the forums. You sound very active and motivated, good for you. Looking at your week, I wouldn't say that you are overtraining based on how long you have been working out. As far as your nutritional intake, I actually do not go into anything beyond basic nutrition on the forums since that's a whole separate field that goes beyond my scope of expertise. But you do need to take in a good balance of everything. You will hear quite a variation of what balanced is but I find many people do well on a daily intake of around 55% to 65% carbs, around 15% to 20% fats(5% to 10% of that limited to saturated fats), and around 20% protein.

If you do high levels of cardio, you will do better with a few extra carbs, and if you do high levels of weight training then you will do better with a little extra protein.

Good luck and keep fit :)
