Troy Lit barbell

Ok I will be getting just the bar for christmas as I already own the Firm padded barbell and various plates along with the quick release clamps that came with it.
My question is this:
Can I still use the plates and quick release clamps with the Troy Lite bar?
I'd like to know before I order. Thanks

Do your plates have one inch holes? If so, they will work great! I also switched to use the Quik Release holders and they work great. You are going to love your Troy Lite! Merry Christmas to you!

You can, but if you try the Troy Light plates, which are rubber coated, you'll soon want to replace all your old metal plates with them! I just took my old, starting=to rust, metal plates to the local metal recycliing place, after I bought the Troy light system, as well as some extra 10# and 1.25# plates.
