Travel Workouts

Miss Lee

Cathlete
I saw a thread about travel workouts in the Shock Cardio forum and I decided to start another one here. I'm not sure it's appropriate to talk about other instructors in that forum. ;)

I'm VERY excited about Cathe's travel workout and I'm going to get it, I'm just waiting for a little more information about the circuit and HiiT workouts before placing my order. In the meantime, I wanted to give a shout out to Cardio Coach PUMP, an MP3 workout that would be GREAT for travel. It's a full body circuit workout that can easily be done with a band. I LOVE that the circuits are on separate tracks so you can easily customize the workout. I often add CC challenges between the circuits for a total kick arse workout!! Just thought I'd share.:D

Stephanie Huckabee from the Firm is coming out with her own set of workouts that are each 20 minutes, set up in a split format, that only use bands and body weight. The set includes a cardio and I think some kind of ab workout. It doesn't come out until April 19, and I'm skeptical that 20 minutes a day is going to get the job done, but I like her and I think I will get it. I think it will be nice for people who travel for several days at a time and don't have time to put in total body workouts.

I preordered the whole STS Shock Cardio series and I can't wait for the travel workout...I know she's going to make it tough!

Yeah, I posted in that forum and then thought later, I shouldn't have.:eek:
Slim Series is easy to do with just a band and would travel well.

I have to admit, I don't work out on vacation. I usually work out like a mad woman prior to vacation so I consider the vacation a vacation from everything. I always come back ready to hit it hard again. It's a total rest.
Disney was a working vacation. We walked at least 20 miles! I ate like a pig and came home 2lbs lighter!
All our other vacations are vegging out on the beach.

Yup, CC Pump is a great travel companion! I really enjoy Keep and Burn It Up from Debbie Siebers and Power Half Hour from Tony Horton. It's so nice to just pack resistance bands and still know you're getting a good workout. I travel a lot for work, so these are lifesavers!

Well CC Pump is the ONLY one I didn't buy! :D I travel alot for work and some of my favorites to travel with are: KPC, Kick Max, Kimberly Spreen Cardio Camp, Amy Bento 10 solution (the one with the band). I've also taken a number of yoga and pilates workouts. It depends on the type of accommodations I have, what I want to do and how much time I'll have.

I should add, when I'm traveling on vacation, I don't take anything! We usually have active vacations!

Bottom line though, I'm really looking forward to Cathe's travel workout!

I agree. Anything Cathe puts out is top notch.:D
She is kicking my booty in meso 2! I had no idea I could be this sore:confused:

Michele, I'm going to toot my own horn;) I went back to Cathe's earlier step workouts and spent a month learning them. This past week I mastered Body Max 2, and I'm half way through Step Blast!
Going back and learning her earlier moves really helps. She uses a lot of the same moves, but with slightly different twists to make them fresh. I highly recommend Cardio Classics and Cardio Hits. They are a great place to start.
Heck, I was not going to try Rhythmic Step. I've read the steps are complicated they will make you cry. Now.... I think I'm going to tackle it!!!

Cynthia, if you can get through Step Blast, you can do RS. IMO, RS is like SB without the blasts. Congrats on teaching yourself step!! It's fun once you get the hang of it!

Toot away my friend. That's awesome!!! If I'd had that kind of success everyone would know about it :p :D. I bought Cathe's older step DVD's a long time ago and tried my best, I REALLY did, but I still SUCK at step. ;) Truly, there is NO HOPE for me. I just can't do step.
But YOU GO GIRL!!!
