AGGRESSIVE APRIL:
Spring is here!Time to kick it up a few notches in all areas of our lives.Time to increase our workouts,clean up our eating,clamp down in our finaces,spring clean the house.We went to enjoy our spring and summer.It's time to get into gear so we can spend more time enjoying life and less time worrying.Fun time is around the corner,vacations,beaches,pinics,cookouts etc.We've been working hard for the last three months.The next few months we need to work harder.So,we can enjoy our results and enjoy life to the fullest.

Today workout was SS.I will tell you TC's about cleanse next time i post.Keep up the great work and LET'S GET AGGRESSIVE!!!!

I can't believe tomorrow is April 1st! You're right Firmscorpio, it is a good time to kick it up a notch. You're so good at reminding us to do that. I've spent most of my morning trying to figure out how to post a picture. I think I've done it. I hope when you click on the link below that it will work. I'm off now to do S&H L&A. Hey guys!

Didnt post much last week. I'm kinda doing my own routine for awhile. Taking a break from tapes and doing my own routines. THanks to Cathe I can make up plenty of them!

I'm going to try to get some running in - 3 times a week 3 miles. This is my big goal and it always takes so much energy when you try something new!

Job search is S-L-O-W. Had a NOT good fit interview last week. Enjoying the kids, volunteering. I'm going to be helping out with the Easter sunrise service should be nice. Hockey ended for the year (ok until summer!) yesterday - It really is a 3 season sport around here. The party was great (I did all the coordinating except for providing the house). Had a great weekend with the kids. I really cant believe how great teenagers are. Funny I thought it was going to be horrible but it's great!

Janice, you get your lifted fanny over here and tell us what’s got you down. Is it your son-in-law (he’s serving over in Iraq – isn’t he)? The challengers are a strong force for good! We care about you.

Today is a weight workout. I haven’t chosen which one yet. I’ll post later.

Gloria,i'm glad you posted your picture.You are a cutie!!!Someday when i get a new computer&a digital camera.I'll try posting my picture.Goldengirl,I was the same way last week.Very down.It's TTOM and i also get depressed the week before.I don't feel like posting at times just reading.So,when your ready to chat we're here for you.

Cleanse:
Cleanse is detoxicing our bodies to a deep level.Just like we've been wanting and trying to do all our lives.It's very hard and expensive.It takes alot of hard work and trying different things to find your nich.You learn more everytime you cleanse.And you adapt different habits everytime.My goal is to do all four cleanse class and change my unhealthy eating choices to more "cleanse" choices.You feel absolutely amazing while your doing it.

Here's a basic guideline:
-You can eat all the fruit&veggies you want(of course!)
-You can have fish,chicken &beef(try to focus on 50% fish,25%beef&25%chicken)Soy products,almonds(no other nuts)and all the seeds are good protein sources.
-No wheat or white flour.You can have any rice products,rice flour,rice crackers,brown rice bread,mouchi,brown rice ceral&all spelt products.
-No caffeine.You can drink decaffeinated coffee,herbal teas,diluted juices,and plenty of water.
-No dairy.you can have soy,goat or rice milk.Yes,to eggs.
-No sugar(big surpise!LOL!}( You can have honey,maple syrup,or the herb stevia for sweetners.

That is a basic guideline.I will give you more information as i post.
 
April 1st! Can you believe it? All the flowers are in full bloom here and it is gorgeous. I only wish they lasted longer. I did S&H C&B today. Got a little shakey on those incline presses.

Robyn, you have such a great attitude about your job situation. I think it's wonderful how you have embraced your life where it is right now. I can't help but believe having that sort of personality will land you a great career.

Firmscorpio, thanks for sharing your cleanse program with us. How long have you been following this? Looks very healthy and also like it would take some strong willpower. I'm afraid I'd be a bear without my morning coffee. Good luck.

Thanks for the kind words about my pictures. I was a little apprehensive about putting them out there for the world to see. Well, my little challenge world anyway. But, I feel I'm a pretty good judge of character and you girls are exceptional people. I love reading about your lives - the ups and the downs. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Girls -- Quick post since I'm at work. Did CC2 last night as well as PM Yoga. Working on the April SELF Chanllenge and it's been kicked up a notch. Not really any harder than what I would do anyway except the challenge requires a bit more cardio and I prefer weights.

FS -- "Aggressive April" I like that. How you doning in the Challenge?

Gloria -- I signed your guestbook, but I'll say it again -- you look fantastic! Very fit. You're an inspiration for all of us. All that tennis has treated you very well.

Janice -- Hope today is a better day.

Hey Everyone!

My neck problems have led me to a chiropractor. I've seen her twice and again tomorrow. I never used to believe in them but my boss is a true believer in hers, and I was in major pain, so off I went. The "adjustments" aren't as scary as I had thought, you bearly feel them. The only downer to working with her is that I can't work out until "further notice"! This past week has been brutal! I find myself walking more just to sneak some kind of exercise in. Hopefully tomorrow she'll give me some better news.

Janice?? I'm sorry you're down. Please come here and talk to us, sweetie! Please don't allow yourself to feel alone, we're here for better or worse!

Gloria, I love your pictures! The pictures of the cousins, your niece on the end is the spitting image of Leah. You also have very handsome sons, I was remembering the oldest on his trek last summer. BTW, everyone, Gloria is 100 times prettier than in the picture!

FS, thanks for the clean eating lowdown. I feel that since I'm not exercising as much I need to really be aware of where I'm getting my nutrients from.

Robyn, your perfect job is waiting for you, so don't take something that doesn't feel right. How is volunteering going?

Hi all. I wrote a LONG post but it's gone. I don't know what I did. I'll try again. First of all-Thanks to Bita, Fitdoc, Otisan, Gloria and others that were concerned about me. sorry to worry you! Fitdoc-Part of it is very much worried about SIL in war. He and Julie have month old baby and it's tough! Also my thick headed nephew(Remember him??) has 3 broken ribs and a broken pelvis! Guess who took care of him all weekend. Sorry to be such a whiney-hiney but I'm overwhelmed! Too many people want too much from me and it's casing stress!! Thanks for being there and caring!!!

Didn't realize that NOT working out could be so stressful too. Couln't do a thing til today cause of chronic low back pain. Otisan-I feel your pain honey. Hope the "back cracker" helped. I use a great one here but sometimes it doesn't help much.

Robyn-I know you'll find the right job for you! I'm so impressed with your attitude. Can I borrow it awhile?LOL

Gloria-You are just as pretty as I thought you'd be. Good looking family too! Thanks for caring 'bout me!

Hi! Hope your day is beautiful. I was reading somewhere, a saying that went something like this: "When you deal with people, be loving to them and feel with your heart as if though when you first met them, they took your breath away."
How loving is that?!!! Imagine if everyone dealt with each other with such respect and love.

Otisan,i hope your neck gets better soon.Can you do walking?Yea,i but it's tough not being able to workout.It's amazing how much you want something when you can't do or have it.Hope you feel better soon.

Julin,I'm doing better on the Self challenge.I have my workouts scheduled for this month.If i do it.I'm rewarding myself.I'm cleanse so that takes care of the food part.Can you believe we are on our second month already?How are you doing on it?

Gloria,cleanse takes alot of strong willpower.Believe me,i'm not doing perfect.But, i am eating alot better.

I eat spelt bread,vegannise(non-dairy mayo)more flaxseed,lemon in my water(which i'm enjoying very much,it's werid but,it relaxes me),eating my fruit and veggies.I have a more positive attitude.I also started dry brushing.My cleanse teacher says to dry brush to get rid of the dead cells.Also,take baths in espom salt or apple cider vinger to pull the toxicans out.You body works so hard try to digest the foods we don't need.It all makes sense once you get over the intial shock!

This morning i did all step(shoulders)for the first time.What a great workout.Can't help but love Cathe!!!!Tonight is my cleanse class.Which i'm really looking forward too!!!
 
Unplanned rest day today. I think I have a strange virus. My only symptoms are fatigue, chills, and diffuse myalgia (muscle aches) from my neck, to the muscles in my hand, and even the muscles in my feet. No respiratory symptoms at all. Anyway, I’ll rest this body for today.

Janice, glad to hear from you. It’s so hard to fill everybody else’s cups when ours are empty. I’m sending “cup filling” vibes your way:)

Hi Ladies -- Yesterday was beautiful in Cincinnati and today looks to be even better. Wnnt to the driving range last night for my "special activity" for the SELF CHALLENGE. Not sure if I'm seeing much results yet as I was already fitter than most, but I'm doing more cardio because of the challenge. I've made a resolution to myself to do 20 minutes of Yoga 5 nights a week. I know better than to say 7! That's not real life.
