Training with thermal wear

One of my freinds at work just started working out on her treadmill and said she uses a thermal suit to make her sweat even more. They sell them at Dick's but it does not give that info. My sister says she has done that also. Does it help burn more cals? We tried to look it up but just found info on sauna heat?

IMO all it will do is make you lose water weight more quickly...which you will begin to gain back as soon as you drink something! I do not believe there will be any lasting positive outcome to wearing that suit and I imagine it is GROSSLY uncomfortable!x( If I were you...I wouldn't do it! JMO!:)

That reminds me of boxers or wrestlers who have to lose weight to make their "ideal" weight class.

I have to agree it would be water weight. Just think of what we always hear: Drink water to replenish what you lost through sweat and burning your energy.

It also makes me think that your body is working harder to cool itself (the reason for sweating) and maybe not concentrating as hard on the actual workout itself?

(Just a Friday "peabrained" idea) :7
