Tracey's High Intensity Step Mix

Cathlete
Well, I caved and purchased this DVD. I did it for the first time this morning and then proceeded to do the Leg Blast Premix from Butts and Guts. I have to say I liked this workout and am glad I purchased it! She has some tricky combos, but for it being the first time I did it and picking it up pretty good, it won't be long until I pick it up. Glad I purchaed it. It won't replace Cathe but will be nice to have to mix things up.

Thanks to those who recommended it!

I love this workout and was hoping she would stick with this type of choreography for future step workouts.

i just got this one from flickety fit. I am going to try it tomorrow. the choreography seems tricky. I think its something you have to do a couple times to really get huh? I will see about this one. but looks fun!!

Hi Melissa,

Yes, if you do Cathe's step work outs you'll get most of it, there are a few areas I just subbed in something else while I watched. But I did really like the workout! And, in time, I'll get all the steps! Some unique intervals.

Sorry to highjack this thread, but Melissa how do you like flickety fit? I have been looking into it just for the reason to try Tracey and Amy.

I like this workout also. I have most of the first half down and then when she gets to combo 6 I lose it. So I am trying to learn the second half. I also ordered Sweatfest and that looks like so much fun. Cathe is my number one fav instructor with Tracey coming number 2!!

Another great workout for those that like intense step with more complex choreography is Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge. The production/sound quality could be better, but this is one of her first offerings and she plans on making an Advanced Step Challenge 2 in the future. I can't wait to preorder this, especially since production quality, premixes, length of workout, music selections have gotten so much better than her first offerings (which weren't really all that bad for her first go at it)! I'm having so much fun changing up my routine with new workouts and new instructors!

i like flickety fit.. i just started doing it about a month ago. I hate this work out!! the cueing stinks. She is all over the place. She doesnt break anything down. Its not safe. I ended up on the floor with what i think is just a sprained ankle. I wont know until i go to the doctor. Now i really cant work out. I joined flickety fit so i could try new instructors but i think i am spoiled by cathe!!

>TIA!

It clocks in around 40 minutes NOT including the stretch or the Power up section you can fast foward to. I'd say about 49 minutes of cardio including the WU (which is pretty fast) and the power up section. She has a preview section for the more complex moves b/c she comes at you pretty fast without too much breakdown, which I love. I sweat the whole time. For the LONGEST time I wouldn't order her first offerings because they were much shorter than I was used to, but Advanced Step Challenge, Cardio Pump Step, and Cardio Pump Hi/Lo are little gems of workouts that pack a lot of punch in right under 50 minutes. I have really clicked with these workouts and I also love Kickbox Extreme and Hi/Lo Extreme (both are well over an hour, great music, and total fun).
