I'm sure I'm late on this one, but I very recently found out about an advanced video instructor named Tracey Staehel (she was at Cathe's '05 Road Trip). She filmed three workouts this past Saturday, and here is a portion of a post Tracey made on her website commenting on the filming:
"I am one of you. I buy workout videos, I do workout videos. I never had a clue how bloody hard they were to film until I did them myself! Now I understand how most smart people just film ONE a day!!!! Not 3 - but it was a money thing, so anyway...
So we started with the step video - it was the most complex and had the hardest drills, etc. Ok, did it take us forever to film the bloody warm-up?! Yes, it did! I am not a huge lover of warm ups, when I do videos at home (always Cathe, I LOVE her!!!) I always FF through them... So little did I know this was pretty major! Anyway, we FINALLY got the w/u done, then moved onto the step combos - now this we could do in our sleep, we had 10 combos & 10 intervals and the intervals were all 2 mins - can I just say, I am shocked nobody threw up! We had to keep re-shooting the intervals to get the timing right and our footing right. Some of us jumped higher than others, some were getting SO tired and just running low on stamina...it was getting llllloooonnnggg! Greg decided to cut out combo 10 because the dvd was long enough. He came out and said, "this is really long" and at that point, I was like, cut out #10 then, fine by me -- big smiles of relief on all the girls! So we did 9 combos and 9 drills... We did NOT do abs or stretch on the step dvd, I wanted to - but there was no time"
Please don't flame me, as I think it's great that Tracey is being so honest with those who pre-ordered from her, but I **think** it's situations like those above that keep Cathe from posting details about her workouts as things don't always go as planned.
Wow, even other instructors 'do' Cathe. I'm so impressed!!!
