too much cardio?

a friend of mine just joined a gym and this trainer there told her she was doing too much cardio and not enough weights. She currently does cardio 4days a week. usually she runs or does her bike or treadmill about 40mins or so. she doesnt do any weights which I told her she needed to do. Anyway I didnt think 4days of cardio was too much. I am curious because i currently do5days a week cardio but in combination with weights 2-3x a week. I do bootcamp 2x week, spin 1xweek and run 2xweek. I add one of your videos 1x week usually weights only along with one of the days I run. I am just wondering if I would reap more benefits from less cardio more wts like he is telling my friend. He told her she could change the way her body looks with more wts andless cardio. I am thinking maybe this is why I cant get past where I am at. Please ,any advice youcould give would be appreciated. Laura
