Hi Snazzy, I went to the Ms.Elite site and I'm just wondering how soon did you see results? I know you've been doing it for a while but I'm curious. Also after a while am I going to be needing a gym membership? I saw one of your post and you lift pretty heavy, you must be in great shape!!

Thanks Mic! I workout at home still. I have a squat cage that I got from walmart.com for about $140, that spots me in just about everything I do. I can slide the bench into it, and do bench presses spotted. It has a bar for pullups. Great piece of equipment! I have an olympic bar and weight set, as well as a standard set, and just a few pairs of dumbbells. I need a few more dumbbell sets! I use Cathe for cardio...don't use her weight workouts much anymore, and I have a nordic track as well. That's about it! I won't be joining a gym anytime soon, because the closest one is 45 minutes away, and I know I wouldn't go consistently.

I started getting results within the first four weeks, which is really water weight coming off when you start eating clean and drinking a gallon of water a day. My clothes were much looser.

I take pictures about every 4 weeks or so, and in my first ones, you really couldn't see a difference. I had to go by how my clothes fit. I started training again in September, and started e-consults in October. By Christmas, I was in a size smaller jeans. I've been a size 5 my whole life (even when I shouldn't have been, LOL...I stuffed it all in!). When I showed at up at Christmas in size 3 jeans, my friends over the mountain wanted to know what the heck I was doing! LOL

I participated in the Meltdown on that site (took 3rd place), and got really strict with my diet for that. My 12 week photos for that were the first time I could actually see a difference in pictures! Part of that was due to getting a spray on tan. Tanning really helps the muscle show up in pics. So all in all, it was from September until 3/25/05, to look like I did in those pictures.

After the Meltdown, I started a "bulking" phase to add some muscle before my competition. I've been "bulking" for about 7 weeks now, and I'm leaner than I was at the end of the Meltdown. Karen (MsFit) doesn't believe in adding a lot of unnecessary fat to add muscle. She has a lot of e-clients proving that it IS possible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time.

Now, having said all of that....you'll only get out of it what you put into it. I've seen some people who come from a heavy cardio mindset have difficulty with her plan. Depending on your goals, she may actually cut your cardio back. Too much cardio burns off muscle. Some people have a hard time with this. They will secretly do more cardio than "prescribed" and not get success, because Karen has given them calories that match the activity that she "prescribes". You'll stall out your metabolism if you're working too hard for what you're taking in. So while you need to hit your workouts hard, you also need to know how to rest and not do extra cardio. If you're doing tons of cardio, you just need to let her know, so she can plan your calories accordingly. The most important thing is sticking to the diet. That's the hardest part. The workouts are a cake walk compared to the diet. And it's a lot of food!! 5-6 meals a day, with protein/fat/carb at every one. The hard part is saying goodbye to the M&Ms, chips, or whatever your weakness is. You are allowed one cheat day a week, but really need to confine cheats only to that day. The "just one" candy bar a day can really add up fast.

Hope this makes sense! Sorry to be so long winded!! :) I'm pretty passionate about this stuff! LOL

Thanks so much, that is a lot of food. It's like you really have to plan on eating fairly early because I can't eat real late at night. I'd get indigestion. I'm going to give it my all and see what happens with it. Thanks for the information on getting the squat cage from walmart and for only $140.00 that's a pretty good deal. Well I continue to wish you well in your success. It's much easier for me to work out at home. Thanks again.

You're welcome! And you're right...I don't like to sleep in on weekends anymore, because I start eating too late in the day, and will have to eat all night. LOL

Good luck in your endeavors! ;)
