Things to do in St Louis

I know some of you ladies are from the St Louis area, so help me out here. We are thinking of taking a 3-4 day trip there in the last half of July. There are a ton of things to do the website, quite a bit of which are FREE. Best price of all:D What is there that we can't miss, and what's a skip? The zoo is a definite, and I think the Anheiser-Busch tour looked kinda fun, and there is a garden there, too. DH is big into outdoorys, gardens, greenhouses, conservatories. We'll skip 6 Flags, we have one here, so why waste a day?

Suggestions?

There's Grant's Farm, also Soulards (farmer's market type place) and I'm sure you know the obvious ----- the arch! The old courthouse is kind of interesting, and Forest Park has some free concerts in the summer.

Lots of fun free activities!

I am so spoiled by living in this city! First off, almost all the attractions in Forest Park are free: the zoo (except for the children's part and the train), the Jewel Box (a greenhouse-type attraction), the Art Museum, and the History Museum are all fantastic. There is also the Missouri Botanical Garden which I believe charges a small fee (I think it's under $10). Also the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour is fun with free beer (2 per person) at the end of the tour - hopefully they are still doing that! And of course don't miss going up in the Arch. Fantastic views and a free museum underneath. We also have awesome restaurants - Italian food on The Hill, funky places in Soulard and The Grove, etc. I hope you have a great time while visiting!!
