Things to do in St Louis

I know some of you ladies are from the St Louis area, so help me out here. We are thinking of taking a 3-4 day trip there in the last half of July. There are a ton of things to do the website, quite a bit of which are FREE. Best price of all What is there that we can't miss, and what's a skip? The zoo is a definite, and I think the Anheiser-Busch tour looked kinda fun, and there is a garden there, too. DH is big into outdoorys, gardens, greenhouses, conservatories. We'll skip 6 Flags, we have one here, so why waste a day?

I did the Anheiser-Busch tour and is was fun. Plus you get free beer at the end of it!

There's Grant's Farm, also Soulards (farmer's market type place) and I'm sure you know the obvious ----- the arch! The old courthouse is kind of interesting, and Forest Park has some free concerts in the summer.

The arch is wonderful and has a great museum underneath it. I also recommend City Museum - we went there a couple years ago and it was a highlight of our weekend.

Lots of fun free activities!

I am so spoiled by living in this city! First off, almost all the attractions in Forest Park are free: the zoo (except for the children's part and the train), the Jewel Box (a greenhouse-type attraction), the Art Museum, and the History Museum are all fantastic. There is also the Missouri Botanical Garden which I believe charges a small fee (I think it's under $10). Also the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour is fun with free beer (2 per person) at the end of the tour - hopefully they are still doing that! And of course don't miss going up in the Arch. Fantastic views and a free museum underneath. We also have awesome restaurants - Italian food on The Hill, funky places in Soulard and The Grove, etc. I hope you have a great time while visiting!!
