This morning we had gusts of winds up to 50mph, I opened the truck door and a wind gust caught the door and blew it open so hard it bent the hinges. Gonna cost me big time to fix.
Yep...our neighbors on one side have no power because of power lines being down, and we seem to be the only ones in the neighborhood with internet service right now!
That happened to me a couple of years ago with our Tahoe. My son got out and a big gust of wind caught the door and bent it completely back. I had to take it to the dealer holding the door partially closed with a belt. I had to laugh, in a way, because people kept trying to get my attention to tell me my door was ajar...I was, like, "ok, thanks, got it!"
The dealer had to readjust it, but it didn't break the bank too bad. The only problem is that the door has never really quite been the same since...I still have to take it in periodically to have it readjusted as the wind noise gets terrible.
So, it could've been worse, right? The wind could have blown a tree down on your car
Oh my gosh! What a freak thing to have happen! I have had the wind blow my door before and I wondered if that COULD happen...and I guess it can! Sorry that happened to you!
