The Ultimate Fit Test: Pushups

> I was
>appalled that they showed no (now I haven't scrutinized the
>video, so don't shoot me if there is a woman in there with
>good form) women with good form. Yet the men they showed had
>good form. This seems to imply something to me that isn't
>really sitting well.

I kind of felt the same thing, especially at the beginning of the video, where the voice-over is talking through good form, and the image goes back and forth between the men with good form, and the women with aweful form. (And I think the closest women to good form had a good plank from nape of neck to knees, but was still hanging her head down: she's at the very end of the video).

Yay for this article! Kudos to me for I am the only trainer who makes her clients do pushups and we work on proper form.

But, really ladies, you have no idea how weak women in the general population are. I was initially horrified. The women in that video clip are typical.

I just have to add how impressed I am with Jack LaLanne - 1,000 pushups in 23 minutes!!! Holy Crap! And he still does them at 93 years of age, using 3 chairs so he can dip down below his body level.

I'm sooooo impressed!
