the toddler tornado...er...playgroup

well I had five moms and toddlers over in my apartment today (not including me and Aiden) & we had a lot of fun but oh my goodness the aftermath is daunting. Food pieces everywhere, toys everywhere. I'll tell you, I get mighty anxious sometimes not being able to control the "mess factor" in my own space. Honestly, I offered to host & I truly wanted to, but it's hard to mask your internal feelings from yourself sometimes. I certainly didn't let it show at all & really enjoyed my friends/kiddos but I think I was somewhat feeling it. After everyone left it was nice to get my living room back to "normal". So there's my OCD for you. What a weirdo of a mom Aiden has :)

You're not weird, nor do you have an OCD. You can't, because I'm exactly the same way, and I'm DEFINITELY not weird;)

I'm glad you had a good time. Now it's time for someone ELSE to host, right?

With my almost two year old daughter, our family room always looks like we had a room full of toddlers! AHHH! I either run around cleaning up after her, or sit amdist the mess with anxiety. My son who is 4 is a lot better about picking up after himself, plus, he is a lot calmer. I have to remember they are only little for a short time, while I trip on toys and get blueberry muffin stuck in my toe. I am making it sound worse than it is, please don't think we live in filth! Melissa

lol Melissa! you are definitely right - they are only this young once! I guess I'd rather step on muffin than something sharp ;)
