The terminology you've learned

Since coming to these boards what terminologies have you learned that were once foreign and are now part of your everyday language, even in acronym form? I'm not really talking about step choreorgraphy words, like "flying angels" but rather fitness related terms. Here are a few for me - I started here about a year and a half ago.

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS)
Interval training
Calorie zig-zagging
Anaerobic threshold
Anabolic / Catabolic recovery
Freestyling

What about yours?

Hey Lorrie, I was talking to a client tonight about his running. He is doing 'Sprint 8' training. I'd never heard of it, although I have it googled in another window right now (learning....always learning ;-) ) Anyway, as he described it I said, 'so it's a form of high intensity interval training' (or HIIT to us Catheites). There's a prime example of using terminology learned here in my 3D life:D .

Another term I learned here and think of fairly often was coined by Kathryn right after the Gym Styles came out. I think she was referring to Gym Style Legs and said it gave her 'IONS' - Instant Onset Muscle Soreness, I could totally relate and it tickled my funny bone:+

Take Care
Laurie:)
