The Storm is over

My heart really goes out to these people in Florida and Missisippi and Louisiana.
We had a freak snow storm. Leaves were still on the trees. Outside my house looked like a war zone.
Trees and brnches everywhere.
Power went out Tues. Most of our power guys are down south.
This has been a week. Temps in the 30's and 40's. No power, heat, water(wells).I pulled in fri night and started to cry.
They said i was gonna be back up by fri.
I have heated jugged water on the gas grill for bathing(gallon jugs).
Froze all week.Felt like grizzly adams in the 1900's.
I think if it was summer i would have been ok.
Now i have a sore throat.
Oh and no workouts all week.
That is the worst.
How do we live without our modern conveniences.
Well, lesson learned. Have now stocked the basement with water and lanterns.
Called an electrician friend. We are getting a generator. I can live without tv. I need heat and water.
I never thought i would be glad to come home and make dinner!!!!!
Boy the leaves are now such a pretty color.
Well have a great day.I am cookin (excitement!!!!!!)

Sorry this happened. We had to evacuate for 17 day s due to Rita and was thrilled to be home too! We had no water or electricity at home, so we stayed with my inlaws who had a generator. we were lucky. The weather has been crazy this year! I'm not sure if i would rather freeze or suffocate from heat....neither one sounds appealing at allx( I have been enjoying all of my modern conveniences much more than before though, i'll say that;-) Hot water ROCKS!
