The shorter step that came with basic step

Winter

Cathlete
Hi Cathe,

I am temporarily working in Austria for 3 more months (from MN). I was home a week ago and bought the step bench that came with basic step or low impact step at walmart as it fit in my suitcase.

I work out to your advanced step workouts. I am a little concerned that the step may be too short in length for you advanced workouts and I may hurt myself or fall off the step. (I broke my foot a year ago so injury is always now in the back of my mind).

I am going to try the step tonight or tomorrow. Do you know of the size step I am using and think it is ok to use with you advanced work outs?

Thank you,
Winter

Hi Winter! I will admit that once you have gotten used to working on the longer step, it is an adjustment going to the shorter step. It is however, doable, and in your case temporary, so it will be ok. The fact that you are very aware of not wanting to fall off will probably keep you free of having it happen. Yes, you will have to use some caution during the adjustment phase, but it is worth it since your other option, I am assuming, is to have no step at all.

Step safely and have a nice time in Austria (that's where a lot of my family lives) :)

Cathe - you have family here!

Can you come to visit in the next 3 months? We could hike up a mountain and have coffee - very strong coffee. I am in a village named St. Johann im Pongau surrounded by mountains.

Winter

P.S. I was doing some work outs without the step and it was still a blast but not the same.

Hi Winter! Yes, my extended family is in a little town called Uttendorf (which is about 90 minutes from Salsburg). I believe you are in the Alps somewhere which is about 2 hours away from Uttendorf.

Thanks for the invite :7 I sure wish I could come. It would be fun!
