The oil spill off the Louisiana coast

I'm upset over the gigantic oil spill off the Louisiana coast. The news media are only belatedly realizing how bad things are. Here is a description of the bird-watching wetlands along the coast:

I worry about all the birds, and other animals, affected by all of this.

BP has a bad record when it comes to the environment. I don't know if you remember but a couple years back (2006) they were responsible for the pipeline spill. After the US built the Alaska pipeline it was sold to BP. They never made repairs and it coroded to the point it ruptured spilling 798,000 gallons of crude on to the frozen tundra in Alaska's Prudhoe Bay.
They have also had oil platforms explode in the North Sea. I say send a message and never fill up at a BP station!
