The new ipod nano is fab!

Hi! I remember reading a thread recently where it was mentioned that some people were unhappy with the newest ipod nano (because of the coverflow and shake to shuffle features mostly). You can find some negative reviews on Amazon about this. So I just got one as a present from my sis (she rules!) and I wanted to let you know that I LOVE it. The coverflow and shuffle functions don't thrill me or bug me. But what I absolutely love is the "genius" function, which is not an option on the older nanos. For any ipod you can use genius on itunes to create instant playlists--you just select a song you like and itunes creates a 25 song playlist of music from your library that goes well with the song you selected. What's cool about the new nano is that you can do this right on your ipod too (with older ipods you have to do it all in itunes and then go through the extra step of turning the genius list into a new playlist). So for those of you considering the new nano (and the new ipod touch too), the new features aren't all bad.

I'm glad you like yours.

I'm still undecided about mine. I had a lot of trouble downloading music from an outside source, but thanks to DH he figured it out. Now if I can figure that will be awesome.

I don't like the "genius" feature on Itunes. It mixes some odd stuff. If I pick a Nine Inch Nails song and hit the button, it'll toss in some Kenny Chesney, some Cardio Coach, and perhaps some New Kids on the Block as well. WTF? I must have a genius with a low IQ hiding in my computer

LOL. Your genius sounds pretty dumb. So far all my genius mixes are great, better than what I would've picked and totally effortless.

Thanks for the feedback. I just received a new Nano as a gift but haven't had time to fool with it yet. Looks cool, though! Can't wait til the Workout Blender workouts become available.
