The generosity of my fellow RTers......

Ladies & gents.....please forgive me for yet another RT post, but I wanted to post this on the Open Forum for a few reasons:

1.....I want to make sure that all those to whom this THANK YOU is intended, get to read it. Since some things were sent to me anonomously, I don't have an address to send a thank you. Plus I'm not sure if everybody's still reading the specific RT forums.

2.....I want EVERYBODY...RTers and non-RTers...to read this to see what a wonderful group of women (and men) we are surrounded by on these forums (in case you need a reminder, anyway...we already know how wonderful these folks are).

NOW...

I want to send out a
HUGE
VERY HUGE
THANK YOU

From the very bottom of my heart

For all the generous gifts, donations and tokens of thoughts and prayers from SO MANY of you.

You know who you are.

You know what you've done.

For those of you who have NO idea what I'm talking about...

Since the road trip 2 weeks ago, I have received NUMEROUS gifts (both tangible and non) from several RTers.

Words of support for me and my children, as we embark on yet another huge milestone in our lives since my DH's passing.

Words of encouragement.

Words of love.

Tokens of generosity, ranging from gifts, cards, gift cards and donations for Jacob and Zachary, and for myself.

I have tried to stay on top of it all, but I've become so emotionally overwhelmed by the support, so I may have missed PMing or sending a thank you card.

So for all those who have given and shown me support (both at the RT, or thru this forum).

THANK YOU!

2 very simple words...but I surely hope you all know how honestly, genuinely, and humbly I offer those words.

THANK YOU!

Sincerely,

Gayle, Jacob & Zachary

Oh Gayle, what a beautiful post!! You're so right that the RT'ers are an extraordinary group. I am still smiling about the whole experience.

You know, for a long time (in my "traditional" position here as mostly-lurker) I have watched from this "distance" as you have picked yourself up and carried on after the terrible blow of your DH's passing, and I want you to know that I admire you more than I could ever tell you. Actually, that's something I should have posted a long time ago -- shame on me! I know that your courage and your optimism and your ferociously terrific mothering of your boys will be rewarded. You, Jacob and Zachary have been and will be in my thoughts and prayers, and I just can't wait to celebrate the bright days that are surely ahead for all three of you. Sending much love and huge ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))!! http://bestsmileys.com/hugging/1.gif

Gayle, what a beautiful post! I've always admired your strength thru such hard times. You are always "there" for others and your presence here on the forums is priceless. I count it a blessing to call you my friend and BTW, you looked absolutely amazing at the RT in case I didn't mention it personally. You have worked very hard which I am sure helps thru the sad times & "ups" your mood. How blessed are we to have found cathedotcom and all these wonderful people here? VERY! Wishing you a very healthy & happy year!

Gayle,

You certainly deserve all the praise and support you have received by both road trippers and non road trippers alike. What a beautiful post! It brought tears to my eyes.
