The Doc Thread Reminded Me! Nurses....

...are AWESOME and I've been wanting to post along those lines! I've dealt with four through the whole rabies saga and each one has been just fantastic. Kind, professional, informative, reassuring and funny as heck, especially the first one who had the thankless task of giving us the bum shots. Compare this to our ER doc who 1) spontaneously lectured us on politics 2) told us he knew nothing about rabies 3) except that the vaccine doesn't always work so he hoped we didn't fall into that percentile 4) made sure to point out how painful the shots would be (they weren't).

My mom is having home health care right now and her nurse too, is 100 percent peach.

So, just a shout out and a thanks to the nurses out there! I appreciate what you do!!

Sparrow I totally agree! The awesome nurses that post here have helped me tremendously in the past few days. I am so grateful for their kinds words and knowlegeable insight into my mom's health situation.

Anyone see the new Nurse Jackie show on Showtime? First let me say it is awesome, probably the best new show to come out in a while, second, your post could have been a story line for one of the episodes. They portray the doctors and nurses EXACTLY as you have described your experience.
