Test Shots with my new camera

I got a new, very expensive camera as a treat for myself (for my Christmases and birthdays for the next year at least). We finally have some nice weather here, so I got out to one of my fav photography spots. I always have fun communing with the water fowl there. They were quite friendly. Here are a few of the better shots:

I always take tons of images, but only a few survive the cut.

Not sure if this image is showing....maybe it's better to check it out at my site

Wow! Stunningly beautiful work. Enjoy the hell out of that new cam! I'm only an amateur photographer, but I'm jealous. :)

Absolutely phenomenal. LOVE, LOVE your work.

Nosy question -- I take it this is what you do for a living? Who purchases your work. Some look like postcards.

Enjoy your new toy!

Buckeyegirl,

I don't do photography for a living. It's very hard to make money that way, unless you work for someone like National Geographic or do art shows. My boyfriend manages to do it, but he was an engineer before he went to professional photography.

I've been published in a magazine, a book, and a calendar. Have also won a few contests, but I'm stuck in the real world of being a medical technologist for a living.

Nature, and in particular, landscape photography are my thing. It allows me to travel, so the bf and I do that together quite a bit. We are hopefully going to Death Valley in February.

This is my first "pro" camera.....got to learn all the bells and whistles before I head back out west.
