Tell me about...

no. think about it, if they worked then no one would need to be on a low carb diet b/c they could just take the pill and eat the carbs and be ok. if any of these pills worked we wouldn't have such an obesity epidemic on our hands. save your money.

even if they did its not without a price to pay. liver damage, heart damage, stomach damage, the list goes on. these are not the healthy supplements. i have a woman at work that takes the alli stuff and all she does is go to the bathroom constantly is always near dehydration b/c of what the pills do. no way to live IMO. it takes longer but good ol baby steps in changing diet and exercise lifestyles is the only way.

Why do you think you need carb blockers? Health concern? Weightloss?

I thought Alli is a fat blocker and that is the reason for the - ummmh - explosive bathroom experience which results in dehydration? Some carb blockers were taken off the market but mainly because of the safety concern of added stimulants.

Personally, instead of taking a pill I'd probably save the money and adjust/change my diet.

oh i agree but the bathroom thing is causing the dehydration. just trying to explain where this stuff could lead. basically anything your body isn't going to absorb(carbs, fat etc) its gotta go somewhere! i can't imagine anything that blocks anything food wise in the body is going to end with good results. sure it may help lose weight in some cases but it will also just cause other issues. we dont' know what they put in those pills b/c there is no law for them to be up front with every single ingredient. they could put ex-lax in some for all we know.

Honestly the reason I asked was because one of my clients is taking them. I have done a little research about them, but I was just curious to know what "real people" think. This guy is so obsessed with weight loss, I have rarely even seen a woman this bad. He will run 2-3 times a day for several miles and train with me two days a week. I have tried to expalin that the reason he is not losing weight is because he is burning muscle with too much cardio. He doesn't care, he just wants to loose weight reguardless of what kind of weight it is. This is the MOST frustrating things about my job....there is a reason it is called WORKING out, because it takes a lot of WORK and time to get results that are going to last....OK enough venting....
