Tell me about Kettlebell Goddess

For those of you who have this DVD, do you like it? How is it structured and does it move at a slow or fast pace?

Thanks for your help!

I do not like it.

This DVD has no music and very minimal cueing, which was a problem for me. The instructor announces, "We're doing two-handed swings." Then, she and the other 2 women do swings for a while. In silence. Looking miserable.

The instructor, Andrea DuCane, is apparently very, very good in person, but this DVD just REALLY didn't do it for me. Try the Lauren Brooks DVD, or "The Kettlebell Way" - much more entertaining.

Hi Gerry,

Lisa is correct that this workout has no music and is very straightforward. It's divided in chapters for upper body, lower body, etc. There isn't much instruction. It's not a bad workout it's just more serious than other kettlebell workouts on the market. If you are looking for more instruction, music and an attractive set I would choose another kb workout.

Art of Strength

I love Art of Strength kettlebell workouts! No matter how hard they are (Newport! Firepower!), I look forward to doing them because I like the music and I like Anthony. Also, the discs have very good tutorials so that you know what to do and how to do it safely.

In addition, there is a lot of info on their website (www.artofstrength.com), including the forum and the Moment of Strength weekly videos.

And if you still have a question, I've actually gotten e-mail replies from the folks at Art of Strength.

Lauren Brooks is nice too, and her instruction is solid.

Hope this helps.
