T-Tapp

Has anyone tried T-Tapp yet or heard of it? It's all over the Weight Watcher chat rooms and a friend of mine bought it. Apparently it's a blend between dance theory, tai chi, and western strength training. She guarantees (the T-Tapp woman)an inch off the waist etc etc the first week. She "fatigues the muscle layer by layer to lose inches". Anyway, my friend bought it, really REALLY likes it, but hasn't been as consistent as she would like to talk results. Anyone out there try T-Tapp? I'm thinking about buying it so would be interesting to know.
Thanks!!!
PS - you can go to ttapp.com to check it out...

It's pretty controversial.

Go to the Videofitness site and search T-Tapp. There are some strong opinions expressed.

I think it's a crock myself. I'd much rather do Cathe's tapes. I have also heard the T-Tapp tapes are very amateurishly made - just someone in her living room, and the hard sell that's on her website throws up a lot of red flags too.

When I first heard about it, I was interested too but quickly became abused of that notion.

I had many T-Tapp tapes, and they didn't do much for me. Plus, they are very pricey. I have a friend who swears by them, and loves them. I sold all of mine on E-bay.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-05-02 AT 06:12AM (Est)[p]Hi! I consider myself a pretty advanced exerciser and I do t-tapp once or twice a week. I find that it is very useful for cinching in the waist and hips. Alot of people are successful at losing inches fast. I started fairly close to my ideal body size, and while I have tightened up, I haven't lost lots of inches. (I think that marketing idea is geared towards those who are not used to exercising).

If you can separate the true workout from all of the inch loss claims, you've got a very different and unique workout that I truly feel has many benefits.

It does pull from yoga, pilates, and even some calisthenic-type movements. Basically you keep your abs tight and butt tucked in a tight squeeze throughout the workout. You are led through various moves targeting different body parts.

The quality of the tapes does take some getting used to, but they were made on a budget and the quality has improved TREMENDOUSLY from the first few tapes I bought.

You can go to www.t-tapp.com and download some of the moves for free if you'd like to preview them.

If you like what you see, go to the forum section and there is a thread called "Creative Cross Trainers Check-in" and visit with us. There is a group of us who continue to lift weights, using Cathe, Firm, PowerStrikes, FitPrime, etc., jogging who also use t-tapp. We will be happy to answer any questions. We were all skeptical when we first started.

Editing to fix typo.
