Hi All:
Hope everyone is having a great day. I just had to give a shout-out to my DH here, hope it's not too self-indulgent!
So last night I had a blinding headache. ( I get them when I am under alot of stress/worry. when they coincide with PMS, they are KILLERS!) I tried to watch Lost and Invasion but finally just closed my eyes. DH was rubbing my head while he watched. I took some aspirin and then fell asleep for about an hour. Woke up around midnight, my head felt better, I turned it a bit to the side and then BOOM, it was like a cannonball being fired into my head, the pain returned so badly. DH woke up and asked me if it was still bad. I said yes. So over the next two hours this fantastic man rubbed my head and feet, got me water, ran a hot shower (the beating water sometimes help) and then ran out to Stop and Shop at 2am to fetch extra strength Excederin (this is the greatest product on the market!) He also came home with a cadbury fruit and nut bar for me He then sat by the bed rubbing my head until the pain eased enough to finally allow me to drift off. When I woke up this morning I was 100 percent better.
I've been married for less than two years at this point; after so many years alone, it's still amazing to me that I have this person in my life who is willing to do that kind of thing for me. I wish I could tell all the young girls in the world to give up their Hollywood fantasties of men and find a nice guy with a backbone, someone who is strong enough to tell it like it is but soft enough to land on.
