I noticed in the Firm forum the other day (or week) that you made some comment about coming to terms with how you look and altering your workout schedule because you have decided you will never look a certain way without gobs of effort.

Obviously, I didn't remember the wording very well, but the comment really impressed me. I wanted to show the post to my sister, whom is NEVER happy with how she looks. Can you direct me to the actual post you made? I think I just saw a different thread where someone was remarking about it.

My sister, who constantly frets about some phantom fat on her leg and butt, needs some serious reality checking. I think alot of us do!! I told her maybe instead of running more miles, what she really needs is a book on how to love your body. Does anyone know of some good self-image/body image books dealing with weight and fitness and how they relate to self esteem? I think we could both benefit from reading a book like this!

Thanks so much!

oh yeah,

and regarding my sis....I have made appointments for us to have our body fat checked hydrostatically. I think it will be a real suprise for her!! My luck, she probably won't even be happy with a "good" number, if she is not "excellent". :) Hopefully, it will be a positive learning experience!

Janice: I just started a post yesterday about my low self-esteem. There is some pretty good advice from others on that threat.
