Super Mom's Check In Week of Mar 30th

Did everyone make it thru Easter without any weight gains? Ha Ha. I"m still eating ham, mashed potatoes, and calico beans. I'm getting sick of them though!

My new computer hasn't arrived yet (will on Tuesday). I splurged an ordered a 22in widescreen monitor. I'm so excited!!!!!

Last week I had Thursday off to go to my 7th graders PTC. It went well, and it was nice to have the day off. This week I only work **40** hours, which is going to feel like a treat--althoug my period is due at the end of the week. There has been no activity our home for sale for over a month now. :(

The kids are doing well. Justin has Kindergarten screening on Friday(even though he won't start until Fall 09).

All-in-all I am super happy with my workouts this week. I was really sore on Thurs,Fri,& Sat,...no doubt due to Cathe's Circuit workout. I'm thinking of doing Timesaver this week.

Sun: Easter
Mon: TJ Cardio Party 2
Tue: Cardio Fusion
Wed: Fat Blaster + Stretch Max on ball
Thurs: Low Impact Circuit
Fri: Janis' Kickbox Circuit (real old)
Sat: Amy's ASC-1

Really liked Cathe's Low Impact Ciruit, hadn't done it in a LONG time. Get this, this was the first time EVER that I did Stretch Max. It was okay, but I've been so stiff lately I felt like I needed it (I'm thinking about starting a weekly pilates,..anyone have one they like). Amy's ASC-1 is fun! I didn't realize it was only 50 minutes long, it's so nice to have a shorter w/o on days when your tight on time.

My weight is staying stable, although I've slowly gone up on my Mountain Dews (occasionally THREE a day). Urgh!!! Addications!!!!

Have a great week ladies.

Mel-glad your weight is stable. Mine is relatively stable but jumping up and down 2 pounds of water weight. For longer days, I add the power up sect. from Adv. step 2 to adv. step 1.
Suzanne-are you having a better week?
Morris-how are you doing? Your workouts remain incredible.

As you'll see from my workouts, I tried out the tae bo's Mel gave me. Thanks to Melanie. Girls are doing well and Ashley actually peed in her potty the other day. (I believe it was a fluke!)

Sun-same workout as Mel-the easter workout. This workout consists of lifting chocolate into ones mouth.
Mon-Tae bo live ad. vol. 9+firm total body toner
Tues-bodymax 2-scrambled eggs premix
Wed-Tae bo adv. live vol. 10 + bodymax 2 upper
Thurs-Imax 3 blasts+ drillmax cardio + HIS cardio
Fri-Tae bo live adv. 11+ ME upper premix
Sat-Amy's new ciaworkout (really liked)

I decided I live tae bo if I combine with upper body stuff and call it a toning day.

Mel- You love Mountain Dew, can you do the diet? I am sure you have
tried. Can you water down? There are far worse vices. I have my
one glass of wine over the course of the evening. I should really
think about this one since Jennifer now calls it," Mommy's Juice."
I am so impressed by the workouts on this post! I haven't missed
one day at the gym. I am lifting heavy but my weight is still
under. I am 115lbs. and am trying to get back to atleast 120lbs.
Shopaholic- Cultivate that fluke!! Ashley may be on her way sooner
than you thought!!!!

Jennifer woke up with conjungtivitis(sp?)Saturday. The doctor wanted
to see her before prescribing medication. She now has a cold and
was up last night crying. She said," my eyes hurt." But then the
list of symptoms continued," My back hurts Mom." I gave her some
Motrin but she was up again at 6am just in time for Mom to
get ready for work. Dad was staying home with the kids today.

Suzanne-hope your little one feels better soon and you can get back to normal routine. Sick kids are tough! Are you feeling underweight that you wantto gain some weight?

you can have some of my weight suzanne;-) well, i guess baby needs it for now....

mel, awsome workouts. hope you get your amy's soon. i like hi lo knockout but don't love it yet - harder for me to follow first time than her other ki los, but i will keep working on it. i am hoping to try in the ring tomorrow....

great workouts elyse. what are the tae bos? would i like them?????

my workouts last week, hmmm
sun - run 10mil, gs bsb
mon - run 9mil
tues - run 9 mil, gs c and t
weds - cardio fusion
thurs - run 9 mil, gs legs
fri - me upper body only, hi lo knockout,
sat - imax 2 intervals, 4ds bc and kb

i think i may not be running much for the next 12 weeks. i have to go to the bathroom all the time now!! glad i have some new dvds to keep me busy. mel, your comment about doing imax 3 before delivery made me laugh. i did that last week and nearly fell on the first blast (i am 5'2 using a 6in step for that one). trying to be careful....

poor ds had some sort of viral thing over the weekend. saturday he threw his first public tantrum at his gym class. we left and went for a walk. after a long nap he was happier, and my sweet little guy was back after that, thankfully. i am finishing work up and hopnig to go home and do bm2 scrambled and a little running mixed in.... we will see

Morris-glad Finn is feeling better. Get used the tantrums, especially after #2 comes! For me, it was te bladder during pregnancy that kept me from doing high impact. Wow- on the workouts.
Tae Bo is the old fashioned Billy blanks kickbox. Less impact than cathe or Amy but some great leg work.

hmmm, i may have to try one of those, esp as my running is dwindling:-( :-( any tips on the tantrums?

well, i did amy's hi lo knockout again and really liked it the second time around. i think i felt the same way about kbx - didn't like it at first, now i love it. i have to try the ring one soon too.

talk to everyone soon.

by the way, melanie, i saw your post on using an 8 inch step. do you do imax 3 on 8 inches??? WOW!

Got my Bentos yesterday. Today I tried my CIA one at 5 AM. I"m not very coordinated at that time of day. I did first part, and will try the other tomorrow.
Morris, I'm 5'8" so 8 inches isn't that high. I do all on 8 inches. :)
Hi to everyone. I"ll write more when I can. My computer arrives tomorrow. :D :D :D

yeah for the computer, mel!! also, can you tell me what type of baby jogger double you have, ie is it the city series or the better running one? thanks!!

Mel- I can't even move at 5 AM!
Morris- I usually link tantrums to fatigue and or hungry and try to be understanding. So far, my girls tantrums are containable. If in a store, I put Ashley in her stroller and ignore her or give her food. My best advice for tantrums, keep your cool, and don't give in. They will stop. If you are in public and think people are watching you, some are because they've been there. The others aren't parents yet or forgot what its like. All kids have tantrums!

I guess I did In the Ring one yesterday & CIA one today. The Ring one is more complex I think. I will like both of them though & will try to master for the rest of the week.

Morris, I have the City Series. I"m so sill I ordered the Performance one too (to see which one I liked better). The City Series seemed just as good except it collapsed easier to go into the vehicle. Performance series needs to be unassembled (the tires) to collapse --where the City Series collapses easily. I had to disassemble my single Baby Jogger & found it cumbersome. BOTH are top notch strollers & you will be happy with either. Sooooooooo much fun. I have a strollometer that tells me my speed & distance as well,...but you have a Garmin and don't need that. ;) I'm wondering how much harder it will be to push a 2 & 4 year old this summer in the stroller? ha ha....they have TRIPLE ones too...about $700!!!!!!!

Gotta run (no pun intended)...

glad to hear you like the city series - that did seem much more portable. my only concern was it would not be comfortable for running long distance. i will take your word for it, though.

hope to try in the ring in the ext few days

I typically don't run for more than 10 miles or so. It was smooth & sturdy. The only thing I didn't like was the foam handle started to tear right away on one side. I used electrical tape to re-bond it. I hope you like it. What color will you get? I have bright red.

How's little Jennifer doing? Eyes all cleared up?

I did In the Ring again this AM. LOVED it. Yeah! Nice to have such variety (not that my other 100 DVDs weren't enough variety). BTW, Elyse, you never confessed to HOW many you have. LOL ;) I"m glad that you tried TBAL. Did you like any?

Morris, Tae Bo is very "drill--ey". Do you prefer kickbox cheorgraphy or drills? I prefer the first; therefore, Tae Bo is not my favorite, but good for variety. :)

Got my computer today! Just got it up and running. TAking the kids to kids science museum tomorrow & to Super Walmart. It's about 2 hours away, so a real adventure. Wish us luck!!!

okay, i really need to try in the ring!! i did the hi lo knockout twice and like it more and more. do you recommend previewing in the ring? i like both drills and choreo - just like variety i guess. i love just doing the drills in drill max. also love amys kbx which i take as choreo. glad you got your computer, melanie. good luck on your trip with the kids - sound fun!!

Hi/lo knockout is new favorite!
Mel- I liked vol. 9 and 10 the best and found them great for toning days. I have not counted my dvds/vhs collection for fear of realizing how obsessive I am!

Hi Ladies,

Melanie-Thank you for asking about Jennifer. Jennifer's eyes were
cleared so we thought but after school yesterday they were all
yucked up again. I guess we thought she was fine but will keep
up the ointment. Tough to get in. Maybe I should have opted for the
drops? Jennifer screams like its torture partly as we know its
uncomfortable but we also know she is very dramatic. Luckily
Taylor has escaped it.
Good Luck on your 2 hour adventure. Is your dh going to join
you? I think I would rely on Jim for his help. But I do better
with his help since Jennifer is a runner and throws tantrums
typically in public. I get so embarrassed.

Shopaholic- Has Ashley gone potty again??

I hope Morris is staying healthy. When is your baby due???

Ointment is harder to admnister than drops. Are you using a warm wet washcloth on the eyes prior to administering the ointment? If you find that you are unable to effectively use drops, a simple call to your dr should give you a RX for drops. I don't know any dr that wouldn't understand that!

DH is not coming with us. Just myself and my little boys. He's already fishing. He's a stay=at=home dad and needs time off!!! We'll have fun. Let ya'll know how it goes. :) Wish me luck!!

Melanie- Yes, we use a warmish cloth prior to putting in.
Good Idea about the drops. I for some reason thought drops
would be more of a pain for Jenny girl. Thanks for the advice.

Oh Yes DH needs his time. In my opinion since I have done both
(home just for maternity leave) being home is rewarding but
can be lonesome and at times challenging.

Be Safe!

Jennsmom- hope Jens eyes clear up soon. Ashley has asked to go potty again and insists on having all her clothes off, even socks! She sits for a second, then gets my oldest's Dorothy (red ruby) shoes and stays naked with red shoes for a while! LOL! She still has 2 months til she turns 2 and my oldest didn't train til nearly 4 so I am in no rush!
