Super cuts from X-Train

I know this is listed as a metabolic workout and I realize that she uses lighter weights but I was wondering for those who have done this workout, is it like cardio w/ light weights? I am currently training 2 body parts a week and of course I wouldn't want to overtrain the muscles but I do need cardio as well so if it's using light weights with cardio I'm thinking I may be able to work this in.

Thanks,

I haven't done Supercuts in a while but if my memory serves me right, she uses lighter weights in here. I've always liked supercuts because of the variety of exercises she does in here. I think she also uses tubing in here as well. You could always do one of the premixes that has more of the cardio factor in it and leave out the toning parts. If you have the book that lists all the exercises and premixes, that'll help you figure out what'll work for you.

I can't remember how much weight she uses, but I always go lighter, ie. if she is using 8's or 10's for overhead presses I drop to 3's or 5's. I feel many "metabolic" workouts or workouts that contain compound moves work the shoulders alot and my shoulders were getting too big. I now go no higher than 5 lbs for these and consider them just a cardio workout with "light toning".

Thanks guys!! I'll make it more like a cardio with light toning. I wish my shoulders were getting to big! My shoulders need a lot of work.
