Hey Girl! I was just thinking about you and wondering how you are doing. You must be really busy since you are not posting as often. Are you finally moved into your new home? Are you still experiencing back pain with no pain relief?

Best wishes,

awww shucks..i am loved ;o)
thanks for thinking of me!!
we moved in a few months ago...however we went from a 2 bdrm condo to a 5 bdrm house with a yard. so there is lots to do...
my back pain comes and goes. just when i think it's gone it comes back with a strong vengenance. it's actually now in the mid and lower back...;o( the only type of relief i am doing are baths and heating pad.
i spoke to my dr. about it yesterday and she sent me for bloodwork, plus i have to do a 24 hr urine sample because she wants to rule out a gall bladder problem. the last thing i need. however baby is doing just fine.;o)

how's everything with you? have you done any shopping for your little princess yet?
oh btw, i won a brand new medela pump in style breast pump for $160.00 on ebay!!

Congratulations on your ebay win! It is always nice to win the bid and pay a good price.

Are you tiring quickly from all the extra work? That is a lot of work. It probably seems endless sometimes, but I bet you are loving all the room your house and yard has to offer.

Does your doctor think maybe your hernia might be helping to contribute to the pain? Just a thought. I hope they can do something to help with your pain or at least find out if something else is causing the pain. I'm glad the baby is doing great! You don't have much longer to wait for Jaden's arrival.

I'm doing fine. Today was my 1-hour glucose test so I should know by Monday if I have to do the 3-hour test. Keep your fingers crossed it comes back negative. :) The baby is doing great and is measuring right where she needs to be. The only "problems" I'm having are her already starting to push against my lungs & ribs on occassion, belly aching from the stretching, and hips are loosening. I swear my belly is as large as I was near the end of 8 months with DS. I've noticed I tire really quickly when I am trying to do something like cleaning out DS's closet to make room for the baby's things. I haven't started shopping yet because I am still going through DS's baby stuff. I've already received some cute things from family and friends and will be having 2 baby showers probably in August. Maybe I will get a chance to buy a few girlie things this weekend.

Take care and try not to work too hard!

i am definitely worn out from all the work we are doing and still have to get done. i am loving it and hating it at the same time..if that makes any sense. lol
the hernia is only sore to the touch right underneath my belly button so it's not affecting my back. she said i should also get more supportive bras, because carrying these new huge breasts of mine could also be the culprit of my back problems. they took bloodwork yesterday to check for gall bladder problems as of yet i haven't heard anything from them so no news is good news.
i will keep my fingers crossed for you that you receive a very negative result for the gd testing. i know how awful that 3 hr test is..i had to do it with ds.
i wish i would have kept more stuff from ds..i didn't because we had such a tiny place with no storage. plus i just wasn't sure if i wanted to have another child so i gave pretty much everything away..dumb, dumb, dumb.
keep us posted on your gd results and happy shopping!!

Hey Kristi! I had my 1 hour GD test yesterday too. I think I'll find out the results on Monday, when I see the midwife. I hope you get a Big Fat Negative! :)

Sunnydelite, I meant to ask about your hernia. Is it something that is caused by pregnancy, or was it there before, and pregnancy is aggravating it? Is there anything that can be done for it? And if you turn out to have a problem with your gallbladder, will they do anything about it before the baby is born?

I'm tiring very quickly these days, too. I *need* an afternoon nap every day, and am still sleeping 9 hours at night. I can manage on less sleep for a couple of days, but then it all catches up with me and I become exhausted.

Cheers,
Sandra

fiddlefit- the hernia was caused by the pregnancy. some muscle in my stomach has separated ( i forget the name of the muscle). the only thing i can do for it right now is put ice on it. if it protrudes out in anyway the dr. will perform surgery.
not sure how they will handle if i do indeed have something wrong with my gall bladder...i am just praying everything is A-ok. have you gone back to work yet? and how in the world are you able to get 9 hrs of sleep at night??? i am lucky if i get 3-4...;o(

Hi Sunnydelite,

Keep us posted on the gallbladder situation. I hope they're able to do something to give you some relief from the back pain.

I've never stopped working. I work at home, in front of the computer, mostly. I am finishing up my doctoral dissertation and also working on a research project with another group at the university. When I was on bedrest I was still able to work by using my laptop on the couch.

How in the world do you subsist on only 3-4 hours of sleep a night??? I would collapse! I get 9 hours of sleep at night by going to bed when my DD goes to bed: between 8-8:30. I'm not a whole lot of fun these days, that's for sure, but if I want to be able to wake up at 5:30 to do my workout, then spend a few hours a day sitting in front of the computer and actually have a functioning brain, then I know I need my sleep.

All the best,
Sandra
