Sunday's Damage Controllers!!

I am up early even though we were out last night. We went to a friends house after the hockey game and I am such a light weight. I had 2 drinks and could feel it. I ate my dinner but I was hungry when I got to her house so thats probably why. When I got home I had trouble falling to sleep. I had bit of a headache and I think I was overtired. Took 2 pills for the cold and out I went:)

How weird is this...when I was getting ready to leave the party one of the girls came up to me and asked me "what size are you? 0 or 2?" Who ask someone that? I thought it was a very weird question to ask and she could probably tell by the look on my face. She was probably under the influence! LOL

Jacque** Do you get migraines or just headaches? I use to get migraines when I was a little girl and they were horrible. I haven't had one in years! I remember being in a dark room on a summers day and I could hear kids outside playing, and all I wanted to do was throw up! I don't know what ever caused them but they are long gone!!!

Diana** Good job with your workout yesterday!

Im not sure what todays workout will be. I may try one of the new dvds. DH leaves around 1 'ish , after I drop him off at the airport I am going to a friends house with DS.
The marathon is today and I can't stop thinking about my friend. I called her yesterday but didn't get an answer! I can only imagine how she is feeling right now!

Good morning ladies !

Well y'day ended up being totally taken up with cutting the tree down. Man oh man - we had 2 dump trucks full of tree ! There was nearly as much mistletoe as there was tree - it was a good workout though - picking up, dragging, raking and throwing the tree into the big dump truck was quite exhausting. We didn't finish until after 5:30 at which point I ran to the store to get burger buns since that would make for a quick dinner. No "formal" workout to report so today I NEED to get an STS worked in there. DH was thinking of taking down a tree in the backyard that was planted less than a foot from our fence (yes, some people are not too smart when it comes to landscaping !:eek:) and is now pulling up the fence. The rain is supposed to start this afternoon though so I'm thinking after all the work he did yesterday (he was beat) that he'll pass on it this weekend and wait a couple weeks until the storms have passed.

Lori - I'm so used to drinking MGD64's that when I have a couple Coors Light or a glass of wine I get to feeling a bit tipsy. Keep in mind your size (let's see, is it 0 or 2? :p) and you know that has a lot to do with it also. As far as headaches, mine are related to sinus pressure and my "oversensitivity" to airborne particles. I tend to get sinus pressure from pollens and so fall rains/winds and spring blooms in the wind will give me headaches. I am using a nasal spray (Nasonex) daily now and that has helped to keep them from turning migraine-like but still make my head hurt too much to workout. I used to have to just lie down for days at a time but now I can still work and do stuff around the house most of the time - just more or less aggravating. Think I may check with my dr. and get some migraine meds for the really bad days where I can't sleep well because it hurts to lay my head down. I actually slept on an ice pack the other night and it helped. It is definitely much better since using the nasal spray so the only real downside is I can't workout.

Diana - PM'd you back. Forgot to mention that I feel bad for DS having to leave his girls. Do you think he'll be able to find a job at home so he can visit often or have them come to you often? How did you sleep last night?

Hi Girls,

Workout complete. I decided to try Cardio Core Circuit...it was fun but of course after it was over I got on the TM and did 4 miles. My goal was just 3 miles, then it was 20 mins but once I got going, I wanted to keep going. So I did 4 miles in 33 mins.

Jacque** DH always has sinus issues in the spring but thats about it. I don't have any issues like that...thank goodness! Any outside work like that is always a good workout!

Work out done. Kicked my AZZ! Did NMTZ warm up plus first four circuits then popped in BFBM, skipped warm up and did first 3.5 circuits (1/2 the work out), then popped NMTZ back in and did fifth circuit (core) only 1 time thru instead of repeating 2x like she has you do and then did final 2 circuits and stretch. Took a while and wore me out! Don't feel quite as guilty over y'day anymore! ;)

Off to get some housework done!!!
 
Hi ladies,

Unfortunately I did not sleep very well last night, and that was after taking my medication. The Dr. said to start off with a half a pill and go from there. Tonight I will taking a whole pill and see if that helps.

DS1 should be here late this afternoon. He called a couple times last night while he was driving to talk to his dad. He also called when he stopped for the night so we knew he was safe. We heard from him this morning too and I'm really looking forward to him being here.

Today should be a cardio day and I will start STS week 3 tomorrow. I'm a little ahead of schedule because I've been doing double workouts on the weekends. I was up so early and feel like I may need a nap. I'm afraid to lay down, it may make me feel groggy all day.

Lori-HHMMM, weird question and I probably wouldn't have answered it either...but I'm not a 0 or a 2.:p Nice workout yesterday. I did CCC also and struggle with a couple of the ab moves. Something to work towards though.

Wendy-sounds like your exercise ADD got the best of you today...but you managed quite well!:D I do not know how you can get up at 5:30 everyday. I struggle to get up by 6-6:30 to get my w/o in.

Jacque-cutting down a tree and everything that goes with that certainly sounds like workout enough to me. I'm following the STS rotation but have been able to double up some of the w/o's so I'm starting week 3 this week. I had intended on a long cardio w/o this morning but that's not going to happen. I haven't tried MMA Fusion so may give that one a try today. Thanks for taking care of the hotel reservations. We have a lot of family drama going on right now that I need to deal with.

Diana: I'm like an old lady. Most times I am snoring well before 10pm! :p When I start this new job it's gonna get worse and I am certainly going to have some trouble for the first few weeks! I will have to get up about an hour earlier then I do now in order to get Joey off to before care and get my AZZ to work by 8:15 instead of 9:00 with a farther comute! :eek:

Lori: You are nuts! LOL That's all I can say! :eek:

Jacque: Taking down a tree does NOT sound like a task I'll be wanting to partake in any time too soon. Thank goodness we have no trees on our property! :p
 
Running back through to state that this ol' gal did her Disc #4 and went with most of the #s from last year. My tendonitis arm was a bit achy but I did the best I could. Actually did most of the push up too but had to keep moving my arms farther out to keep the shoulders from grinding. UGH !

And then to top of my night - DH used my brand new towels to hold one of the parrots while he clipped his nails. Soooooo . . . snagged and bloody I spot the towel sitting on the dryer (where the blood is sitting there drying). Did he say a word to me ! Heck no ! just said "well I figured it was messed up anyway . . ." And this ADULT used to dig on my kids all the time for the same type of thing. Rant finished and I'm a movin' on.

Wendy - so now you'll be there with most of the rest of us getting up early to get to work with less sleep and more to do? Actually I am sorry for you if it isn't something you want to do. I feel so lucky to have stayed home until my 'baby' was going into 4th grade. Was nice to be home with them. Now she will be 21 at the end of May. I wouldn't have done anything different other than perhaps pick a better husband the first time around ! :p

Off to check on my French Onion soup and rinse the color out of my hair.
