Oh my goodness, I'm off for a few weeks and I missed so much!

Morris - Best wishes to you...it seemed to come so fast! Can't wait to hear all about it.

Kate - Sounds like you have a nice day planned. Enjoy!

Hi Lisa - How are you doing?

Not too much new with me. Just a lot going on at work and not a lot of time to get online these days. Still looking for a new job, but only if it's the right one. I still have a pretty decent job all in all, just tired of the politics of co-workers. Whiny co-workers...

Got some nice quality time with DH this week and now in the 2WW. Ovulated a tad late compared to normal, but blaming that on the m/c and body trying to get back to normal. I'm feeling real good about the summer and trying to get that BFP soon. Trying more meditation and acupuncture to help that along.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Hi to all I missed!

Hi Anne. I missed you. ;) It's been a really active group here. Apparently a pretty fertile time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed during 2WW. :)
It's soooooo nice out today. I'll have to go for a run for sure. :)

Hi guys! I'm feeling quite miserable with a cold, and I think we have to put our dog down. She's old (15 years old) and for the last couple days hasn't been eating. Her breathing is really short and she just has the look. It's actually my MIL's dog, but I feel so sad. :( Anyway, someone also broke into the truck last night so we're making a case right now. Sorry for the lack of personals. I'll be back later.

Hi Anne!!! I'm crossing my fingers for you during this 2ww!!

Lisa

Anne, So nice to hear from you! What a great attitude you have!

Melanie, did you get your run in today?

Lisa, Sorry about the sickness and the dog. We had to put one of our down in December and I still miss her. (((hugs)))

Morris, Of course check in with us still!!! We'd miss you too much! How exciting for you - i love the feeling of absolutley knowing your baby is coming!

Our day has been nice but I am def. tired. I have been so drained the lsat couple days. Planning on relaxing the rest of the day!

No run or w/o today yet, but I did take a nap---which I only do when I'm pg. It felt nice. DH is cooking up some walleye, so I might not get a w/o in today, or I may go for a jog later (it's 430 here). We'll see.

My DH had to put our lab down last Jan. He was really old & didn't stop seizing. The experience itself was awful (we heard the gunshot), but he was ready. We got a german shepherd shortly after that...and she sheds all over the place. :( I won't even let him in the house or car. At least I"m not the only girl in the family anymore. ;)

Melanie, Hope you get some kind of WO in.
Sorry about your dog! We took ours to the vet to have it done. DH just couldn't do it. I don't blame him - I couldn't either. I can't imagine all the hair from a g.shepherd!

I got a nap too - felt great!! I think I'll do Classical Stretch after the girls go to bed.

Anne~nice to "meet" you. I am new since you last posted. I will pray that this ttc journey ends this month! ((hugs))

Lisa~wow someone broke into your truck? ugh So sorry about your doggie. : (

Morris~I know I am new, but I vote you should be allowed to stay post baby as well. Good luck!!

Melanie~we have a lab that has seizures.. or well he did. He is 10 now and from the time he was like 1 till last fall he had them like clockwork about once a month.. then he broke one of his nails and it bleed off and on and didn't heal so we had him to the vet and it turne out to be cancer so we removed the toe.. The funny thing is he hasn't has a seizure in 6 months.. since the toe was removed. It's really odd. We have no idea why.

I did a great 5 mile run this morning before it got reallllly hot. Then I decided to go tot he in laws to swim. I took the pack n play and put the little one down He napped for 2 1/2 hours while the rest of us swam.. then he got up and swam for a bit w/ us. 4 hours today, but it felt SO great to be in the water. I had tons of sunscreen on,but I think I missed a few spots because I am burned in odd places on my back and my belly. I have a feeling hte kids will be in bed at 7:30 and then I can relax. The new season of Army wives starts tonight at 10pm.. I hope I can stay awake!

RE: Sunday TTC/Preggo **** Induction Day for Morris!!!...

Hi everyone!

We have a sunny day here in Portland, Oregon--finally. I did get our room/closet cleaned, but dh did not get the porch swing up. He did, however, clean his side of the closet and put up a light fixture that has been languishing in said closet for over a year (and he's an electrician--imagine it taking him so long;)). I also did a ton of Spanish, another algebra chapter, made a huge pot of soup and huge batch of bread.

My workouts last week
SH chest
SH back
SH shoulders
SH biceps
SH triceps

I'm wondering if cardio is over for me, because my back is not doing well. This has never happened to me this early, but I am getting old. At least I am not losing my muscle. I know I'll get my cardio capacity back post partum and my cardio is so "weak" at this point anyway, I doubt it's helping control my weight gain.

Morris--I would miss you terribly if you quit checking in, so please continue to do so. I am praying that all goes well for you--((((big hugs)))) I can't wait to hear about your new little peanut.

Melanie--congrats on the race. I'm sure your babe is fine. I always get anarobic at some point in pregnancy and it hasn't caused me any difficulties. Enjoy the recliners---aaaaahhhhh--sounds so nice.

Kate--I hope you get your crib back. We could be that family that doesn't take the best care of...well, you know:p. I've just gotten to the point where I won't borrow anything from anyone, because I just know something will happen to it. Now go relax, woman!

Trish--your 20 week belly looks like my 13 week belly. I wish I could post pics, I look like a cartoon caricture of a pregnant woman and I have 10 weeks to go. When does your husband get back? Do you have a good support system with him gone?

Lisa--Let us know how you like Kung Fu Panda. I'll probably wait until it comes out on Netflix, but I'd still like to know. Our older kids want to see the new batman movie, so dh will probably take them to see that and then no more movies in the theater for a while. Too expensive. I'm so sorry about your dog and that really sucks about your truck. I hope your cold goes away soon.

Stephanie--I think your baby is fine and won't be affected by your burn. Glad the game went well. I don't know if I'm nesting, because I'm always ready to attack the house when our school year ends, but the nesting instinct probably helps.

Candra--your boys will probably love ju jitsu (spelling?). My son loves sparring in tae kwon do. He is also a year-round wrestler and right now he is doing greco-roman, where they throw each other around. He loves it. And he's pretty set on the military. I'll just have to pray for his safety and my sanity constantly, which is never a bad thing.

Jen--I hate that jr high thing that adult women do sometimes also. For this reason, I have a select few close female friends, but I tend to avoid large groups of women. But that's just kind of my personality anyway. Are you done with your classroom? It sounds like a huge job and definitly counts as a workout in my book.

Anne--it is so good to hear from you. I'm sorry things are not going well at the office--the politics sound like no fun at all. I'm praying for a successful conception (((hugs)))

Hi Kristan! Hi Susan! Hi Mikkia! Hi Wellness! Please forgive me if I forgot anyone.

take care
Maggie:)

It's a long story about our lab, it was of course....a Sunday night and we were about 90 minutes from emergency vet services,...and wouldn't you know it, we all had the stomach flu?!?!? The vet tech suggested that I put my seizing dog in the car and drive with my 10 month old and 2 year old---(while we were all vomiting) 2 hours away where they could euthanize him. :( Not possible, so my DH borrowed a hand pistle from a friend & took our beloved pet of 14 years out of his misery. It was awful. We even heard the shots. :(

Maggie, No worries on the cardio - it will be there when you are ready for it. Good job getting your weights in. I'm actually struggling in the dept. right now. I've been doing my cardio but not finding time to go down in to the weight room. I was hoping tonight (I feel MUCH better since a nap!) but DH had to go out, DDs are in bed, and I don't want to be that far away while they are sleeping. (The weight room is this really wierd room under the stairs...)

trish, Sounds like you've had a nice day. Hope you enjoy your show tonight. Heard from DH lately?

Melanie, What an AWFUL story!!! That is too sad!

off to do Classical Stretch....aaah!

Hi,
Boy, this heat is sure something else! Tomorrow, it is supposed to be 99, with a heat index far above that. I don't know if I even want to go out for lunch with co-workers. They tend to sit outside the restaurant, and I am NOT for that! I friend, who is preg too, has a pool, so she said we can all go there.

Anne-Nice to hear from you. Good luck with the job search and with the 2WW.

Trish-I love army wives!

Maggie-Awesome workouts. I swam in my friend's pool today, but that wasn't really much of a workout. I plan to wake up early tomorrow and do ME. Now, hold me to it!!!

Morris-Good Luck...you are probably in the midst of having your little boy right now:) .

Kate-What a busy weekend!

Lisa-Sorry about the cold. My heart goes out to you, as I am the one who got cold after cold after cold... Also, sorry to hear about your dog and your truck. Tomorrow can only be better.

Hi Everyone else I may have missed!
-Jen

Jen, Yuck! That is way too hot! Enjoy ME tomorrow. I've been itching to do that one as well.

I just did Classical Stretch Full Body Workout and I feel thoroughly stretched. Right before I did CS though I had a really wierd ab muscle pain in the lower left side. I am really getting mad about this.

I wonder how it's going for Morris....:)

Another positive vibe for Morris. You're in our thoughts, girlfriend!!!!

Maggie~my hubby is gone till August 1st. So we have 20 days down and I think 54 to go. It's really going faster than I thought. The kids keep me busy! That stinks about your back and the cardio, but it sounds like you are keeping up w/ the weight training so that is GREAT!

Melanie~oh my gosh.. That sounds just awful. : ( I can't even imagine having to do that.

Kate~I haven't heard of classical stretch. Is that a good one? I think I might do stretch max on FitTv tomorrow at 730.. Coremax is on at 700 so i'll skip that and maybe go for the stretch before my run.

Does morris have a laptop that she can check in on or do we wait till she is home? I hope it's going well!
