<--niece #1 is coming on Tuesday during her first year of college spring break and is bringing her BF (such a cutie!) and her roommate who is blind
<--thinks it's amazing that a blind person can go to school with sighted kids and wonders how it is done?

<-- explains the decorations were just way too over the top, and my mom does everything that way when it involves my sister or me. The kittens wearing leis would have been plenty.
<-- spent a ton of time the weekend before, cleaning our house so we could walk into a clean house. Instead, we couldn't get inside our door. My mom made our return all about her and her work and her decorations and her ideas, not at all about "welcome back glad to hear you had a nice time". She's the kind of mom who tells me EVERY TIME we see each other how pretty/strong she thinks I am, and gives me a very long hug and pats and squeezes. EVERY TIME. I live 4 minutes away from the woman.
<-- also points out that the ENTIRE FLOOR was covered with sandpaper, or tissue paper, with a deflated creature (made out of balloons and newspapers) lying underneath an umbrella. On our living room floor, which doubles as my workout room and triples as our kitchen table. It was 11:30 at night when we got back and we couldn't WALK anywhere. She stuck crap all over the walls and it was just too much. She was doing it because SHE was entertained, not because WE would like it. This kind of thing happens a lot with her. Sigh.
