Summer check in...Saturday 07-09-05

Hi guys. How's your Saturday going? Everyone busy today?

I did ME & 1st combo of SB. What did you all do?

Helped DH lay some mulch down. I asked him to go see my cousin's band tonight, kinda like a date, but he just said "I dunno":( We spend all our time together, but we never do anything really "fun" alone. Oh well. No big deal.

Hi Kali and everyone else!

Today has been "errandmax". We've run all over the place and just bought gas logs for the fireplace. Right now we have a regular fireplace and burn wood, but we are converting it into gas. Just as we get older we've decided we'd like the convienence of grabbing the remote (GREAT! One more remote!!ack) and "turning on the fire", to splitting wood, hauling, stacking,....then finding out the wood is too wet to catch....etc...
Sooooo no time for a workout yet today. I will walk for sure later.
Yesterday I took a 55 minute walk in the morning and in the evening did slow & heavy chest/back/core. Excellent workout, that slow & heavy series!!
I hope you and your dh go see the band tonight Kali. It sounds like fun, and you deserve some fun after doing mulch. That's hard work.:)

Hi Becky! Sounds like you've been busy. Walking sounds great. I'm resting tomorrow so maybe I'll take one in the morning. It's supposed to be absolutley beautiful here. 85 w/ no humidity. But Monday is 95 w/ humidity. ICK ICK ICK.

We're not going to see the band.:( No biggie though. He's too tired from yard work. Another time. Just gonna practice my guitar and watch TV I guess.

Hey ladies.

Today is my rest day but I went pounding the stores with my mom and my son so I actually FEEL like I've worked out! LOL I thought about doing stretchmax or pilates tonight but it's getting late and I'm beat! I think I'll just be relaxing for the rest of the evening.

Becky-Isn't walking nice? I love putting my son in the stroller and taking a walk with him. I love to walk my dog too.:)

Kali-Sorry you didn't get out to see the band. I'm sure there will be another opportunity, no?

I have created a very general fitness rotation for myself that specifies only the TYPE of work out I will do. I am looking for a well-rounded routine. This is what I've come up with based on working out 6 days per week with one rest day...

day # 1 Full Body Weights
day # 2 Cardio
day # 3 Circuit
day # 4 Interval
day # 5 Circuit
day # 6 Cardio
day # 7 Rest

Or should I have 2 Interval w/o's and 1 Circuit instead of 2 Circuits and 1 Interval?..Or would you change something else??

Hey Wendy. That's looks good. My schedule for next week is this:

day#1 KPC (cardio)
day#2 LowMax (interval)
day#3 StepBlast(step cardio)
day#4 PH (full body weights)
day#5 Imax2(interval)
day#6 BC (circuit)
day#7 rest

I am trying to lose body fat. Especially on my thighs. So I'm doing a lot of cardio, interval cardio for a while.
What is your main goal right now? I think your rotation looks good. But I'm getting help w/ my wo's so you might want to wait for the other's opinions.

I don't have a particular goal at this time. I'm just looking for a good balanced routine to help with my overall fitness/weight loss. I will start my rotation today and see how it goes!

I just recently did the full KPC work out for the first time! What fun but what a work out!!! I also tried IMAX 2 (first premix) for the first time...HOLY COW! :eek: lol And Boot Camp? Well, that goes with out saying!:+ Not having to watch one's intensity/impact opens up a whole new world for a Catheite! }( }( }(
