Hello everyone
I am 22 weeks Pregnant and I am still trying to stay active with hiking and videos and walking. Any suggestions on some "non" cathe videos. I have been using some karen voight and gin miller workouts I believe that i am beyond some of the cathe workouts i need something more lower impact. Any suggestions??

Hello there!

I am 31 weeks right now, and I've been doing all kinds of different workouts. I like Cathe's Basic Step, Low Impact Step and Cardio and Weights. I have also done oodles of Firm workouts (old and new), they seem to work well at this stage right now. Others include Kari Anderson step workouts, Debbie Seibers, Crunch workouts like Bootcamp, Cardio Sculpt, Total Resculpt. I also purchased Crunch Yoga Mama, but have not had the need to pull it out yet.

I have just been trying different workouts, and I make sure to use an incline on ab work. I don't want to get too many pregnancy focused workouts, but what I do have seem to be easy to modify.

No real suggestions, but congtratulations on your successful pregnancy Melissa. I am happy for you every time I see your posts! I hope you will reply in my other thread! :7

I too did my firms during most of my pregnancy. i also realy enjoyed gay gasper's workouts. I was able to use most of my cathes especially ryhtmic step, basic step/body fusiopn, the wedding tape etc. Congrats!

I agree that Cardio & Weights is pretty good later in pregnancy. I also love Low Impact Circuit (although a few exercises lying on the back need to be modified). It's not too exhausing--gives you decent cardio and that cut look we like in arms and legs. I have scaled back tremendously on Cathe videos as I approach week 26. I started going to the local health club again and doing some of the easier classes that I can modify when needed. Swimming too. Like you, I would be eager to learn which of Cathe's videos aren't too bouncy, high-impact, or intense for later pregnancy.

I also agree that LIC and C&W are good third semester workouts. I also enjoyed HSC, LM (without the blasts), and PP/SS. As for non-Cathe workouts, I loved Preggi Bellies the most. It has a short cardio section on the stability ball and easy weight work. I also did Lindsay Brin's Second Trimester Workout, even in my third trimester. The yoga segment is really soothing and I did both 25 minute segments of cross training every time I used it to get a good workout. It's pretty simple and easy to follow, though the production quality is not that good. I think Preggi Bellies is an excellent pregnancy workout, and would recommend it the most. In fact, I have been thinking about giving it and the Lindsay Brin workout away, since I don't plan on having another child. If you want to cover the cost of shipping them to you, I could mail these workouts to you. Just let me know. :)
