Suggestions for DVD please!

Hi! For those of you who might have read my post below I've found out I'm pregnant again after a miscarriage last year so have been a bit apprehensive about doing high impact exercise. However, I went to see the Dr today who has given me the go ahead to carry on exercising - hoorah! So I'm after suggestions for your favourite Cathe DVD's/videos that are fairly low impact (as am still a little apprehensive!) or that are easy to modify. Does anyone do Rythmic Step as I don't remember feeling too puffed when I did that one? Thank you ladies!

Emma :)

Hey Emma,

Ok I was not allowed to exercise at all...but lets face it, I had to do something or I would go crazy. So, what I did was Kathy Smith Preggo workout and Crunch Yoga for Pregnancy. I did not even break a sweat with Kathy Smith, but it was good to just get up and move around. The Yoga tape was good and again it was really easy for me.

After I had my daughter I did Low Impact Step and Total Body sculpt and it was a good workout, but not too hard. I was a good place to start and if your doctor ok's you working out you might want to try it.

However...whatever you do....listen to your body and don't go overboard!

Good Luck!

I really like LowMax. I have modified it and am using 6 instead of 8 inches. I still feel like I get a good workout without getting extremely out of breath. The whole workout takes approx 70 minutes.

When I am in a hurry and don't have much time to exercise I do IMAX 3 with no blasts. This takes approx 30 minutes.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! I've got the Kathy Smith one and have just bought Low Imact and Body Sculpting so I'm looking forward to trying that. How does that one compare to the Basic Step and Body Fusion DVD as I was thinking about getting that one too?

Emma

I have the basic step and forgot to tell you to try that one to. Basic step is easy, but will make you work. Low Impact is a little more difficult and last I think 10 minutes longer. Both good workouts.

I was suprised at how much I liked body fusion. Basic step is easy but body fusion was more interm. Today I did rythymic step and had no difficulty. The impact is moderate.

HI you all!

Marleysmom! Were you super high risk??? You mentioned your birthday coming up, when is it?:D Still can't wait to hear how you like LoMax!

Shopaholic, is rhythmic step fun, it sounds like it would be.

How about Imax3 does it have plenty of cardio. Are the blasts crazy like Lo Max?

I agree that basic step is a decent workout.

Have fun with whatever you choose

Just did the Low Impact today and I forgot how much fun it is! There is a lot of turning in it, so if you get dizzy from being preggo just don't do all the turns or skip combo #1 and do the premix. I still got a good workout even not being preggo anymore so hopefully it will work out great for you.

Had a super high risk preggo with my fab little girl and had to take it real easy.
Birthday tomorrow! Yeah!!! will be the big....28 tomorrow....oh man I am pushing 30!!!

WHATEVER!!!!! I'm 32. Actually your 30's are soooo awesome. Happy happy birthday! March is a great month!! Hannah turns one the 25th. I'd love to invite you and Marley but you're kinda far away;-)
