Suggestions for barre workouts

With the Fit tower coming soon, I'm wondering what your favorite barre workouts are. I'm looking at Suzanne Bowen. Mary will have hers on sale soon. I'm an open book on this because it's a new toy for me. I've been using a chair! I would like a bit of cardio effect, but honestly anything that works me good is great.

My favorite Suzanne Bowen, P57 , Barre3, Pure Barre and Tracie Mallett. Suzanne has her dvd's a lot on sale on Amazon. If you want more of a cardio effect I would recommend P57. I have the tower, but prefer my kitchen counter top. I am getting ready to downsize my dvd collection. I have an extra set Barre3 dvd set(still in shrink wrap) for sale. If you interested sent me a pm:)

I like Leah Sarago's Ballet Body. Her Upper Body workout is great. Reminds somewhat, kinda, sorta of Horizontal Conditioning. Lots of plank work. Physique 57 is good, but, there is one instructor that has a voice that is fingernails on a chalkboard, for me. The later Pure Barre, is good. Barre Amped with Suzanne Bowen, I love. Tracey Mallett's Booty Barre. There is also two DVDs from The Ballet Physique that are good. Signature Sculpt, and Amped Up. Amped up, being my favorite. There's also the Squeeze DVDs. Haven't done Barre for awhile now, but these are some I like.

Ambrosio, we seem to have the same tastes! My fav's are Cathe's Turbo Barre, P57, Suzanne Bowen's Barre Amped Bootcamp, Signature Sculpt from Ballet Physique (I don't own Amped Up), Tracey Mallett's Booty Barre plus Abs & Arms, Ballet Body's Upper and Lower workouts and another one that doesn't get mentioned much but that I also really like is V Method Cardio Vusion by Vicki Vara which is more of fusion of cardio/pilates/ballet but gets me sweating! I don't have the sustained attention for the slower, more controlled barre type of workouts.

I have a set of dvds by Linda Wooldridge too but haven't gotten around to doing them yet!

I have all those workouts that been mention, I can't comment on them...never done them. I am going through all my dvd's.

I also would recommend Pop Physique, Pure Barre and Barre Method.

I agree with everyone's suggestions, especially Tracey Mallett! She really kicks your butt! And Leah Sarago's Ballet Body Upper Body is a killer (hello, planks!) but doesn't require a barre. I wanted to try Physique 57 but after watching a video clip I just couldn't because (as desertambrosia pointed out) one instructor really does have an annoying voice. Suzanne Bowen's BarreAmped is a bit easier than Tracey Mallett and Leah Sarago but she's sweet and is great when it comes to providing tips on form. I don't have BarreAmped Bootcamp or her new DVD but I like that she doesn't use voice overs, which Leah Sarago does. And of course TurboBarre but that's a given LOL.... :)

I used to think the same about P57 until I tried one of her workouts. I think you should try them yourself, JMO! She isn't as annoying as you think she is. Her barre workouts are one of the best and you get results, IMO! I done her challenge before, I have to tell you...my butt never looked better :p Her seat workouts are tough :) Your butt will cry :D Which reminds me, I have to pull out my P57 dvd's soon :)

My go-to Barre is Leah Sarago's downloads. They are very to the point. My second fave would be Patricia Friberg (from fitnessGlo) which are significantly gentler/easier, but sometimes I need that. Jessica Smith's Barre is also one I like to use for something more down tempo. I wouldn't call them easy though.

I use nearly all of the above mentioned as well. Great suggestions!
