Thanks again!!!

My son really liked the Junie B Jones series too.

Another one that he recently enjoyed reading was Tom Sawyer...what a great classic book for boys! (and girls!). We also have The Wizard of Oz and Treasure Island. They are kid's versions from Walmart.

Junie B Jones is HILARIOUS! My 6YO DD and 10YO DS both love them. Magic Treehouse was a favorite for DS when he was younger. He also liked Stuart Little and Trumpet of the Swan (E. B. White). Lucinda & the Roller Skates is an old book, but good. Also The 21 Balloons.

Thanks, again!

My son's 5th grade class went to see Tale of Despereaux today as a field trip since they finished reading the book before Christmas. He was so disappointed, which proves what I always tell him: Read the book, then watch the movie!

Ooooh, books.
Another vote for:
The Boxcar Children
Nancy Drew
Bobbsey Twins
Little House on the Prairie
The Wizard of Oz
American Girls (Samantha was my favorite)
My Side of the Mountain
Cricket in Times Square

Also:
I love, Louisa May Alcott Little Women and Eight Cousins
Anne of Green Gables (may be better at age 9-11) -L.M. Montgomery
The Chronicles of Narnia -C.S. Lewis
Mr. Popper's Penguins

I can still picture where each of these books sat on the library shelves. I read so much, that there was no way to buy all of the books that I wanted.
